  • Coconut flour is also a good substitute and works well almond meal. I also use it in seat of bread crumbs in meatloaf, chicken stuffing and for crumbing meat and other foods.
  • Running burns more calories than walking but to burn the most calories, try HIIT or high intensity interval training. I do intervals of sprints alternated with walking. I do 100m of sprinting, then walk for 100m and do this for as long as you can or roughly 15-20mins. Get the heart rate up fast and doesn't waste muscle…
  • I have tried the double chic coconut and found that it wasn't too bad. Not as nice as Quest bars but the nutritional values are good. I can't tolerate Maltitol so these are great for me. Have just ordered a box of the peanut butter caramel so will let you know how they taste.
  • I competing in an INBA fitness comp in May and have been using MFP to track my macros. I'm not going on weight but have lost 20ml/3% body fat in just under 3 weeks using MFP to keep track of my food and macros.
