I was at 170 for my first pregnancy and they wanted me to gain only 11lbs. The more you weigh the less you need to gain. The guidelines are easily googled if you want to find them online. (I'm 5 ft 3 in). Now at 153 and interested in #2. I was hoping to weigh less/be more fit...oh well. Age is a factor when you want a lot…

I was gonna say...if someone wants to make the mistake of staring at my butt---they get what they deserve! Haha! Since your shirt is probably sweaty too, my guess is everyone knows you didn't pee your pants.

All I do is walk (pushing a stroller, which MPF clearly has no clue about.). It's wonderful for people who are NOT fit gymrats. Great way to start. Also, it's lowered my resting heart rate from ~90 beats a minute to 60. So there's plenty of cardiovascular payoff. I have spine injuries that prevent me from "enhancing" my…

Depends on what you want it for. All I want is to look at my heart rate while I'm working out, and know average beats per minute afterward. It's fine for that. If you want much more, you need to jump price brackets.

Bahaha! My husband looked CRUSHED.

Out in the open. I use it on all recipes and for non recipe stuff (like a side of peas or rice) it sits next to my plate at the table. OP, don't put up with the ridicule. Call them out on it. You can say "Your comments are unwelcome. Commenting on someone else's weight is rude." Or, if you're the cook and treat buyer.…

Wait until the doc clears you. Otherwise you could end up a lot worse off. Then, start with walking and let your body be your guide. Also, what jennifershoo said. Diastasis recti requires a whole different exercise regime, and something like a shred would make you immensely worse. I did get permission for gentle walking in…

Pilates on a reformer requires good form. If it's not hard, either you have the wrong instructor or you're doing it wrong. It works the inner core and is great for posture and back support. It will not help you lose weight. You need a strength training and or cardio program for that.

I just got one and I use it to make sure I'm actually getting my heart rate up. I shaved 3 minutes of each mile I walk---from 18 minutes to 15. It's doing what I bought it for---challenging me to work out harder during my walks. I don't use the calorie feature, though. I plug the heart rate number into calorie counters at…

Through trial and error, I'm burning (currently) about 80 calories a mile. (Gross. I just learned about the net thing, and am planning on trying it on my next walk.) I walk 5 a day. I count it, because damnit, I'm hungry at only 1200 calories. I don't usually have all of it, though---unless it's a special occasion. But I'm…

$150 a week for a family of 3, including dining out.

I used to do the one Hershey kiss thing. If I had more leftover calories at the end of the day, then maybe more. I put the kiss out separate from the bag though, so it was more "work" to get more. It worked really well for me. Unless it's extreme stress, I've finally gotten to a point where I can say to myself "I am going…

Never went commando until I read the confessions thread. They converted me. It's awesome. And explains why my toddler loves running around in the buff.

Well, as a sufferer of chronic illness, I can tell you that you may need to come to terms with your new limitations. You may never be able to do what you did before. Going "all out" may not affect you at the time, but you will pay for it later. I suggest you look into water aerobics. It can give a decent workout but the…

Eat more carbs that take a long time to digest. I learned this from my child. She would wake up hungry in the night if she didn't eat enough carbs at dinner. Measure and portion the night before. It goes breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, snack, dinner. 8 am, 10 am, noon, 2:30, 5, 6:30. A couple of eggs and some veggies don't…

I eat ~1200. However, that doesn't include exercise calories. I walk 3-5 miles every day and just started adding in a few blogilates videos every other day. I eat back between .5 and all of my exercise calories---just recently cut back to half, because I lost enough to stop losing on eating all of them. Basically, I…

A pound or so a week. I now walk an average of 3-5 miles a day 5 or 6 days a week. Speed has made no difference for me---but getting lighter has meant I have to watch my diet more closely and walk a little farther to get rid of the same amount of calories.

You look great, and in my experience men like that bit of tummy. What looks blubbery to you looks nice, soft and cushy to them. No joke, I've heard numerous guys complain about women who are too "boney" in the midsection. Anyone who says or implies you're unattractive---well hell, you just met an @-hole, and they let you…

5'3 , cw 155. Goal is 120, but I'm hoping to be preggers again before then, so it's more than a year off for sure. My first pregnancy did a number on my body, so I'll have to reassess after baby #2.

Bob revolution really is the best. I have the one with the adjustable handle bar, which is great because I am short. I'm a walker, not a runner, but we average about 25 miles a week. This is my third jogger (6th stroller) and by far the best. If I had known about it before baby was born, it would have been my only…
