2lbs a week is doable with proper eating and exercise.

Oh.. so that's what the cool kids are calling it now... <smirk> I like weighted hyperextensions. Pulls the back, butt, and upper legs..

I'm a serious sweet tooth! Here's what has worked for me. Aldi's has an "On the go trail mix" that has chocolate MM's in it. It's a healthy snack (nuts, raisins, etc) (200 calories) that also helps with the sugar craving. Start by getting rid of all of the CRAP/CHEAP candy in your house, then go out and get a small amount…

I think the answer is somewhere in the middle.. I don't think regular restaurant eating is healthy at all. I'm a one-a-week restaurant eater with an occasional Wendys chicken wrap for lunch. That's as close to a "cheat" meal as I get for the reasons stated. In the end, it's portion size... I'm eating less calories than I…

I'm sorry about your loss... Friend me. My mom is also part of my motivation. I lost her to diabetes a handful of years ago.

Congrats!!! Isn't it amazing how simple calorie counting does it just fine?! No silly fads, pills, or not eating bread. Just regulate what you already eat.

....and it only gets better! Congrats on your NSV!

NSV: Shocked.. I am was a 2XL shirt size. -- I could if the LARGE fine this morning, but felt comfortable in the XL. Winning!

Have you also noticed that your Wendys cost is lower these days as well? Personally, I love ordering the Spicy Chicken Go Wrap and a cup of ice water. (340 calories/17 Protein) Back on the road for about $2.00 for lunch. :)

the Body Fortress - Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder - Vanilla (decent taste) 1 scoop = 170 calories / 30 grams protein. Reasonable cheap ($18) and mixes well with milk, etc. Bakes very nicely as well.

the Body Fortress - Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder - Vanilla (30 grams / 170 calories) It's got an excellent flavor that works well with Protein Pancakes and Milk Shakes.

Go by a single scale... If it's moving in the correct direction with regularity, you are good.

I weigh in off and on during the week, but I usually only count Monday morning (same gym outfit) for my weight.

^^^ This... It's no more complicated for me than that... (at least for now)

4.0-4.5 -- Past that, I'm jogging. I suspect the answer has something to due with length of stride as well...

I updated my goal weight last night.. I'd originally thought that 70lbs would be a good {but barely obtainable} goal, and that I'd re-evaluate then. Now that I've crossed the 30lb mark, 100lbs doesn't seem that daunting any more. It'll put me in the "just-slightly" over weight category which would be 210 here. I'm in for…

Additional follow up question on Creatine : Should I be using this and why? Fitness ignorant who is learning as quickly as possible.

The best things in life are FREE... MFP being one of them... Welcome! This thing works!

You can do this! All you'll need is a bone saw to remove a limb or two.... No, really, you have a great reason to get started and make a LIFE CHANGE from here forward. Don't worry about trying to achieve a certain weight by the big date. Instead start working on better health and fitness and the changes will happen in a…

You can do it! If I can do this after 25 years of ignoring my health/weight you can certainly do it!

I'm 65 days into this journey.. Was 315+ Today 281. Add me. I'm happy to help motivate and encourage!

Most Excellent! Somehow I managed to actually eat only a serving of cookies the other day when I opened them. (3 cookies) -- So I understand how big a victory these things can be..

Actually it sounds more like a "flushing" sound doesn't it? ;)

Turkey burger with onions.

Pure Protein Bars for the win... I like Quest Bars, but Pure Protein are just fine and much cheaper!

Tortillas - Goya Shells (90 calories) {very tasty} Popcorn - Microwave it yourself in an ordinary bag. (110 calories for the entire bag!) Coffee - BLACK. :) :)

Honestly, I never saw myself as obese.. It was such a gradual process that I became like the frog in the boiling pot. It wasn't until the water was starting to real boil did I start to take notice.

$72.00 a year... I love it!

Is always "in tune".
