No matter what your weight happens to be at any given time (unless you are so thin or so fat that you literally cannot leave your house) you will be too thin for some, too fat for others and you'll be just right for a huge range of people. That being said, I know plenty of men who prefer women within specific size ranges…

Ha, yo! I am out of there- back to Long Island. :)

Take it from me- losing weight will not make a guy love you more. The guy has issues that transcend looks and, obviously, a need to make you feel safe in your relationship. He is an idiot. You need to choose not to obsess over his foolish comments. You also need to find someone more worthy of you.

You can SO do this! One day at a time, beautiful. I have to go one hour at a time most days, and that is okay. You can commit to doing the right things for yourself today and decide again tomorrow. With each day of making good decisions under your belt it gets easier and becomes more of a habit . Sometims making a huge…

Well done and well said! I love that you did it for YOU, not to get revenge in the end. That is the only way to really do it. You ROCK!

This post is amazing. It is going to help me straighten up and fly right! :)

Yes, I am on a similar plan. I need to lose 65 lbs myself. Let's do this! :)

Sweets- particuarly cookies and corn muffins. DunkinDonuts has become a no-fly zone for me out of necessity.

Yes I weigh my veggies. I tend to eat low carb and so I carefully track even my fibrous carbs in veggie form. I do well with the structure of weighing and measuring. I am a compulsive overeater so any little bit of control I can have over my intake is a good thing. If you follow a plan like WW that says you can load up on…

Hot damn that is great! Keep it up! We are all rooting for you.

I have done well with it - it accelerates my weight loss, and the super-low carb intake does wonders for my digestive issues (colitis), keeps me from craving carbs and prevents the mood swings I tend to feel when I do eat starchy carbs. My first week of doing it for the first time was huge- a 7 lb loss- but that evens out…

Amazing thread, here. My heart goes out to the original poster. I appreciate all of the positive responses as they are helping me with my own heartbreak. It's back to the gym, back to logging every bite I eat and drink, back to ME today. I can't fall apart over someone else's actions, no matter how much I want to just hide…

You have the right attitude- you have to be ready to go for it. Time to shred!! :) Make sure you log your food and make time for exercise. Keep coming back to the boards for ideas and support. You can do this!

I made a shrimp stir fry for lunch today - 4 oz of shrimp, two cups of peppers and onions cooked in olive oil., yum!

You can share choose any soda you like - not everyone is into cola. I just wanted to start a light-hearted thread and hear what peopke like. Cola is typically a very decisive topic!

I'm thinking you missed the point of my post - I'm talking about sugary beverages. But thank you for the good luck just the same!

Thanks very much everyone! I see that many of us have given up soda or switched to diet versions of the stuff. Great feedback, guys! Everyone once in a while I crave an ice-cold Coke but I don't give in. I really only drink water, tea and coffee these days, with the occasional glass of wine thrown in.
