I wear my Fitbit all the time, only take it off to charge or shower. I have mine synced with MFP, so all my exersice is calculated in steps. It may work for you in an elliptical, I have never tried.....

My sympathy goes out to you.... Another thing to research is the book "it starts with food". It is an elimination diet you do for 30 days in an effort to see what foods could be causing a whole variety of issues. The diet is called whole30.

Change your mindset ..... "I only ate 2 cookies, they were yummy. Now I am done and going to have a sensible dinner." No guilt, no regret. I am not saying it is easy, because it definitely is not, but you do have a choice in how you think about things. It can make all the difference.

Hmmmm - grilled New York strip- it makes everything in the world ok again because all I can think about is how yummy it is!!! And yes, I have driven to the store just to buy steak. And yes, I have sent hubby to the store to buy steak - he wasn't complaining!!!

I make up my own dried fruit (unsweetened ) and nut packs. I also like mini muffins made with whole food ingredients (no flour or sugar). I only need 1-2 to keep the edge off.

Me too!! I have cried my eyes out in private from comments from family. It makes me mad that I let it get to me, but I realize that it truly was hateful.

Sounds like you are stress eating , before because of the apprehension of going to family event and after because your body is now screaming for more sugar. I am basically the same way, if food is out, I want to eat no matter what. I usually would get sick because I eat so much. The only thing that works for me right now…

That is excellent!!! It is ok to push ourselves a little but not so much that we end up injuring ourselves!! I started exercising at 3x per week for 15 minutes. It has taken me 3 months to be strong enough to do my current 30 minutes 5x per week. You will get there!!!!!! ;)
