I buy a high fat (11% BF) plain Greek yogourt, and only use a small amount at a time, with a small amount of berries and a bit of stevia sweetened protein powder. It does cost more than the low fat sugary yogourts, but it is way better and a little goes a long way to satisfying my craving for something smooth and sweet.

Welcome everyone, we're glad you're here too !

Hello ladies. Holy smokes you've all been busy talking today while I was at work ! Yesterday and today the temperature here in Manitoba was warm...it was 27 C on the way home from work. Very nice. I think it is very interesting to hear the accents from around the world. I'm a sucker for an accent. While at work today one…

I tried agave years ago when I started this journey, since it was supposedly lower G.I. than sugar. But then I kept reading and learned that it is not as good as it was made out to be. Now of course, doing keto, sweets are not tasting good to me. Last week a co-worker brought cookies to work that were supposedly grain free…

Yes I saved myself and did not fall, almost like slipping on the ice and not falling.....it still kind of jars the body and can be sometimes worse than an actual fall. But I'm OK, thanks May. I do feel a bit stronger and more able bodied now.

I am also very appreciative of all the good advice our leaders provide. You can be counted on to swoop in whenever needed. You guys do rock ! :)

It warmed up here later in the day, I think about 18 C, but at work today in our basement offices, we had the heater on. I've got to find my Dad's camera and figure out how to work it. You might have to wait until next winter Jane, before I can send you frosty pics. I dream of warmth right now. I can hardly wait to sit out…

Hello ladies. I feel like a world traveler reading about the regions where you all live.....so exotic compared to where I live. I could use some heat and palm trees and ocean. There is frost on the ground today and I will have to scrape my windows before I drive to work soon. Went to Red Lobster last night to send off my…

Did you try it with butter in it ? I don't put heavy cream in my BPC, just 1 part MCT oil and 2 parts unsalted butter. Maybe you're not used to the coconut oil ? I do feel very energized after drinking mine.

Thanks for tucking us in May !

Well, I didn't get over to my mother's house after all. I stayed at home and during a burst of energy, bought a book shelf and a metal rack, assembled them with no former experience doing this, and organized tons of books my mother keeps sending home with me. I think she is slowly emptying the contents of her home, and…

Yeah, I'm excited about Churchill, and hope to find restaurants serving wild meat, but the train trip has me worried. 1.5 days there and 1.5 days back, with no option to modify the menu, so I figured I'd better bring something with me. Canned fish is a good idea. I wonder if the mayo packs need to be refrigerated ? I can't…

Let me know how you do. I see you are from Manitoba ! I'm taking the train to Churchill in the summer, and I'm worried about what I will eat along the way especially. At least you are going to Chicago ( Chicago's beautiful )and there will be many options for you. I'm going to pack some macadamia nuts, maybe some coconut…

I make mashed cauliflower, but usually only enough for one day, since it all gets eaten. But I do make a quick cauliflower cheese bake. I partially steam cauliflower florets while greasing a baking dish with bacon fat. I fry bacon with a bit of onion, then toss in the steamed cauli. Place in the baking dish, and cover with…

I have tried all different combos of IF. I tend to eat twice daily now, so you could consider that IF. I've tried varying my eating window to see how that would work. Mostly I skip breakfast and lunch, then just eat one meal while IF'ing. I do this once or twice per week during my work week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays,…

Beautiful granddaughters and fairy gardens May ! Kate, I'm in Winnipeg, so might have more shopping options than you do and it takes a while to even figure out where to find some of these ingredients that you might not have tried using before. I shop at Superstore in the organic section for some things, Bulk Barn for…

You're welcome. BTW, there are folks with PCOS at the low carb group too. As for the water, I think most of us drink a lot of water, and you may be thirstier than normal for a while. I aim for .5 oz of water for every pound of my body weight. I think for me, I lost a lot of water weight initially, then weight loss slowed a…

Have you checked out this group on MFP: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group. There is also a keto group, however many keto or LCHF people are at the low carber daily forum, and they have a lot of information to share, as well as being very supportive.

What about soaking in epsom salts ? That is good for sore muscles. The magnesium is absorbed through the skin.

Best wishes Karlotta, hope you get better.

They look comfy !

OMG Karlotta, I was just over at another thread talking about how chiropractic saved my life after my car accident 14 years ago. I was off work for months, had physio forever, took painkillers for years, and still could not get rid of the constant headaches. I felt like my neck was not strong enough to hold up my head. I…

Welcome. I agree with finding a good chiropractor. I had a bad car accident a number of years ago, from which it has taken me years to recover. I went to physio for months...years ? Traction was the only thing that brought relief from the never ending headaches and pressure. I went to a regular physiotherapist for my body…

Good morning everyone. All the crafts look great. I am Janice, I will soon be 53 and I live in Canada. It's so good to be able to see people's faces. Karlotta, you look great in your new photo, and we can see May and Fiona better now ! I should really try to get a camera and figure out how to use it.....Yes, this is the…

Timmie's ! Some folks here won't know Tim's. I used to get the regular iced cap made with cream.....but way too much sugar now. I sometimes make my own. Maybe if you think of BPC as a Tim's iced cap, you'll like it better. My daughter drinks her BPC cold with some protein powder in it. Why not put some cocoa in it and make…

I love the visit too, and Karlottap, you look amazing in your new photo !

Even a bit of tamari ( wheat free soy sauce) might be OK, and you might be able to locate that easier. Where I live we couldn't even buy coconut aminos until recently. My bottle of tamari says that it has 1 g carbs per Tablespoon, and 1 Tbsp goes a long way.

Yes, my tummy is still flat so far. But I am a little worried about losing the rest of the excess and possibly "deflating". After all, I gained weight back after the operation, so my skin must have stretched. So far so good, but who know what will happen when I lose the .....how many pounds, wish list time now....I'd like…

You could try it any way you like it. Coconut oil and cream should work.

Good morning ladies. It is lovely over here, what wonderful ladies ! I want to share with you that years ago, after I lost that first 100 pounds, I had a skin flap hanging like a little skirt in front of me. I was very self conscious of it, so I decided to have a tummy tuck, and that did include some liposuction. My tummy…
