I'm obese and my husband is 5'10", 118lbs. We eat very different meals, we very rarely eat the same thing. I do 99% of the cooking, and I don't mind making two meals, I make pretty simple, fast meals, and usually cook in large batches so I can freeze portions and when dinner time comes around it's easy to just grab…

This is how I cook my quinoa: http://www.bonappetit.com/test-kitchen/common-mistakes/article/quinoa-common-mistakes It always comes out perfectly.

This. I do this with everything, not just soup. I always have lots of frozen meals frozen flat like this, it takes up much less space than containers, and I have a tiny freezer.

Omg, yes, this. My mum bought me a huge bag of croutons from Costco and I ate the whole thing in about a week without ever putting one on a salad. Straight out of the bag and into my mouth.

I haven't found their subs to be high in sodium. I get a 6" tuna with lettuce, jalapeños, olives, and pickles on wheat bread. No cheese or dressing. It's only about 320 calories and less than 400mg of sodium.

Canada.

Yep. All of these substitutes would just leave me disappointed and wanting the real thing.

Milk chocolate Cheese Crackers I know if I have any of these in the house I will eat them non-stop until they're gone, so I don't buy them.
-
That actually sounds good. I like to put cottage cheese on spaghetti with meat sauce, sounds similar.
-
I haven't done it in a long time, but I used to eat those Heinz alphagetti noodles and tomato sauce cold, and straight out of the can.

Cooked peas taste to me like the smell of dog breath. I just can't eat them. But raw peas are delicious!

I love burnt hot dogs. I also love burnt toast. When I was a kid we went camping a lot and cooking my toast over the campfire until it was black and crispy was my favourite part of eating.
-
Yes, I love spam! I could eat it every day. And plain steamed Brussels sprouts.

I do this as well. I have to eat things in even numbers, and they have to be the same shape/size/color, and there has to be an equal amount on both sides of my mouth. If there are singles leftover I usually just don't eat them, or I'll break or cut them in half.

Omg. I lost a pack of Bonkers 30-ish years ago in Brooks, Alberta, it fell out of my pocket, and I still think about it from time to time. It was the last pack I ever bought and I didn't even get to enjoy it!

It doesn't matter how chicken is reheated, it tastes awful and smells even worse, so I eat my leftover chicken cold.

I'm not really into movies, but my mum convinced me to watch What We Do In The Shadows, and it was pretty funny!

Yeah, just thinking about it now I remember a Christmas dinner at a relative's house when I was a kid, and all the food was on the table we were eating at, but they had a pretty large table.
-
I'm in Canada and I've never see it done this way. Usually all of the bowls/plates of food are on a separate table, or usually the kitchen counter. Everyone makes their plate there and then takes it to the table, like at a buffet restaurant. Wouldn't having all of the bowls of food on the table make the table overcrowded…

Eggs for sure. I can have eggs for breakfast, but if I want to stay full I have to have them with toast or I'm hungry 30 minutes later. Oatmeal. Tasty but just like eggs, I'm hungry within 30 minutes. Fat. It doesn't keep me full, it just makes me feel queasy. Protein. Eating protein makes me full for protein only. So if…

Yes! That's what we called them when I was growing up, and I grew up in the US and Canada. I didn't actually hear them being called anything other than that until I was an adult.

When we were kids my mum used to blend cottage cheese and then add some ranch dip powder for us to dip vegetables in. Haven't had it since the 80s, but I remember it being good!

I'm in! I haven't had a Pot Noodle in years, but back when I lived in the UK I think I ate one almost every day. My sister and I also ever used milk or butter when making Kraft dinner. We didn't use water either, just drain the noodles and add the cheese powder. It would solidify pretty nicely, lol! My husband adds butter…

Oh god, me too. That's where I came from, lol! I did it pretty consistently for almost a year. I'd do 5-7 days a month of nothing but cold boiled potatoes. I have nothing bad to say about it because I dropped a lot of weight pretty effortlessly, but I can't really eat potatoes anymore. They're really unappealing!

When I lived in the UK one of my housemates asked me where I put something, and I said "On the counter." He just stared at me for a few seconds, and then asked me to show him, lol! He had no idea what I was talking about.

I had to stop taking magnesium (magnesium citrate powder) because of this. All I ever heard was that it helped sleep so for quite a while I didn't think that was why I was having sleep problems, but then I forgot to take it one night and I slept normally. I've taken it a few times since then and every time, I have trouble…

I'm in bed by 8:30 every night to be up at 4:30. I can't function without at least 8 hours of sleep! I couldn't imagine when I'd have to be in bed if I got up at 2am.
-
I have 2 breakfasts. I get up at 4:30 and usually eat something small at 5:30 and have coffee. Then I'll have a second breakfast at around 9:30. Lunch is at 1-ish, and dinner around 5. I've just started doing this recently because I have to get up so early now, and it seems to be working out just fine.

Just wanted to let you know @kathrynjean_ that I found the pumpkin spice Oreos at Sobey's this past weekend. No idea if you have a Sobey's near you, but they have them.
