@puffbrat That is a tough situation! But I agree that you should have a say in the final decision and if you aren't 100% on board, something needs to be done. I would say to just keep talking about it and see where it ends up. I am also not a fan of II, III, IV, etc. and neither is my husband. We do like the idea of…

@VeryKatie Sorry for being MIA here! Things have gotten a bit crazy at work. I am popping in as much as I can (and if I miss a weigh-in, don't wait for me!)
-
Feel free to add me! Always looking for positive, active friends that lift heavy and love the outdoors!
-
50lbs to lose, 5'6" here as well! Sending FRs.

Oh, @VeryKatie that sucks! It is smart though to be cautious, but I can understand your frustration. The unknowns with the Zika virus are terrifying though. We have changed all of our travel plans to avoid those areas. We were planning on starting to try in October, but life got in the way and we've pushed off starting…

Done 3x challenge! For this week, challenge is for my average calories for the week to be below my calorie goal. Gotta keep on working on being consistent, especially Friday/Saturday.

Oh! And I love this calculator - it helps seeing all of the different potential costs (one time, childcare, re-occuring, long term, etc.) It should help anyone that wants a realistic place to start to plan at least the costs of all of the first year gear. http://www.babycenter.com/baby-cost-calculator

We live in MA - the highest cost for infant care in the US at $16,459/year on average ($1400 a month - friends pay upwards of $2000 a month for certain care centers and forget about a nanny...). Our baby fund and emergency fund goals are MASSIVE.

We use mint.com as well! It's a great tool to help you see what is coming and going and see progress to your goals. It's nice being able to see every account all at once. We have two additional savings accounts: a baby fund one that we just started a few months back (furniture, baby & maternity clothes, gadgets, nursery…

Thanks! @VeryKatie I am a biomedical engineer and work in sports med (for hip, shoulder, knee repair). Love it!

Just wanted to drop in and say hi! I will be joining in the March challenge and am ready to see some changes! About me: I am 30, DH is 33, we have been married for 5 years, have two dogs, and we are going to start TTC in July. I am an engineer and DH is a social worker, we are at a great place in our careers, finished…

Just sent a request to the group! Looking for friends and motivation and support - need to lose weight before we start TTC in May and am about 40lbs overweight. If I could lose half that before then I would love it! Also looking for more friends if anyone else is looking!
-
Need more friends! Feel free to add me.
-
Hi, there! I just turned 30 on 11/30! Sending you a FR.
-
Hi, there! Congrats on your success so far! I am currently 178 (started 194) and have the same end goal as you! Sending you a request, can always use motivated friends with similar goals!

Have had my Charge HR for about a month now, looking for more friends to do challenges with! Friend me! https://www.fitbit.com/user/3MC5S5

This. Fitbit Charge tracks your steps and syncs up to MFP to make calorie adjustments. When you log your exercise into MFP, you are actually double-counting some portion (or all) of the calories that the Fitbit projected you burned, so it takes those away. I love data and to keep this clean, ALL exercise goes through…

Nice work moving more and watching your intake! But what are your stats? Your calorie goal may be much too low - if you do not have a significant amount of weight to lose, you should aim to lose 0.5-1 lb per week (rule of thumb seems to be 0.25 lbs lose per week for every 25 lbs you are overweight). Your current intake…

The FitBits Charge HR and Surge allow you to view time/date, steps, calories, floors climbed, HR, distance, calories. Not all of them require a download to get the info. I have a Charge HR and love it.

Just got a Charge HR and the Aria scale last night and really, really like it - definitely like the motivation aspect of it! And that I don't have to worry about not having my phone on me all the time (that's how I used to track steps). I was walking around my living room last night to get the last steps to 10,000, hahaha.…

Since the park is not busy with little visibility, I would definitely find another place to run. It just isn't worth it: running with mace, no headphones, hyper-alert, and the risk something could go wrong would completely ruin the entire run and put you in unnecessary danger. I belong to a few running groups, but run by…

Don't feel silly! And that sounds like a good plan. Stick to it for a few weeks and see how the weight loss goes. Remember, you did not gain all of the weight overnight, so don't expect it to come off overnight! That is the hardest part for me - patience.
-
Oh, gosh, NO you are NOT supposed to burn 1200+ calories a day just to lose weight!! Calories in must be less than calories out based on your TDEE, not what you eat! Remember, you burn calories just by being alive. You could burn 1200+ calories a day, but with only eating 1200 calories, you would not be able to support…

5'5.5" and goal weight is 135, but I think I would be happy anywhere from 135-145, as I have always had an athletic/muscular build.
-
I'm 5'5.5", lost 16 lbs and dropped a little more than a dress size! Was 14, now 12 and even a 10 depending on fit.

I take a Women's One a Day and a fish oil - I am iron deficient (per my bloodwork, Doc rec'd the multi) and I need the folic acid for getting ready to TTC (again, rec'd by my doc). Fish oil for heart health, since major heart/cardiovascular issues run in both sides of my family. Edit to say: I will also supplement with…

Sent you a friend request! My doc told me to lose the weight before we even started tying. Tough love, but it's been the only thing to motivate me recently. 15lbs down, 35-40 to go.
-
Everyone has been accepted! I don't get those notifications on my phone and have been traveling for the past week, sorry for the delay!
-
Would love to join!! Fits in perfectly with my goals/timeline and could use as much motivation as possible!

Me, me! 5'6", started at 194, goal is 140, and currently 184. Looking for more motivated and supportive friends on here to keep me going!
