  • On the cleaning supplies.... :-) .... I'm kinda on an all natural kick and trying to have a baby and don't want the chemicals in the house in case future child would get into them or one of my furbabies.... Soooo.... You can do ALL cleaning with Vinegar (under $2 a gallon), Baking Soda ($0.49 a box at aldi), Borax (around…
  • QFT! Definitely utilize the freezer! Remember that frozen veggies are every bit as healthy as fresh veggies since they are picked and frozen at the peak of freshness AND they don't have that pesky sodium. Until the "junk" is out of the house completely lower the portion size and have some veggies on the side. Personally I…
  • I'm going to go out on a limb here and say "Eat More!" Seriously, EAT MORE! Run through HeliotDan's calculations on the "In Place of a Roadmap" thread. You sy you've lost inches but not weight. Clearly that indicates you're getting more muscle. Muscle burns calories at a faster rate than fat does meaning they require MORE…
  • This! I don't really get why they are illegal in the first place. How does something that ANYONE can get ahold of give you an unfair advantage? They aren't for me, but just saying if you want to whine about it not being fair then take them yourself and level the playing field. Sounds a lot like "no child left behind" if…
  • I preplan our meals a week at a time. I also complete my food diary the night before (occassionally a day or two before LOL). I usually know at the beginning of the week if we are planning to eat out some night and I preplan that day, but if a coworker invites me out to lunch or I get a surprise "let's go to dinner," I…
  • Somewhere it was stated that he was not allowed to date clients and got in trouble for it before. So Yes, I do believe he could lose his job. If I owned a gym and my trainers were using their position to pick up a partner, I'd can them in a heartbeat no matter how "good" they are. It's bad for business.
  • I agree with the "you guys aren't dating" sentiment. Seriously he could lose his JOB over this. Sorry but I'd probably dump you. He shouldn't be seeing you in the first place as it is against the rules. And yep, you need to learn to be the bigger person. If their words hurt you and you want to comtinue this relationship…
  • 43.9% and my current goal is to get to 27% (which it what it should be if I reach my goal weight with current LBM in tact, which won't happen lol) and then go from there.
  • I did the "in Place of a Roadmap" calculation and upped my calories to 1940 which is what it gave me for lightly active. I exercise daily so I figure that makes me lightly active, but I don't record the calorie burns/eat exercise calories. I record my exercise with 1 calorie burn just so I can show I DID work out. This is…
  • This! I've done my one workout video enough times I have it memorized so I made myself a strength training prgoram that I do while watching TV, best part is, if I absolutely positively MUST stop mid-workout, I can and I can just pick it back up after a minute or two, not the end of the world. When I run on the treadmill in…
  • I used to get HORRIBLE shin splints every time I ran on the treadmill. Like, rocking in the locker room holding my legs and bawling painful shin splints. I LOVED running on the treadmill, but I was about to give it up. But alas no more shin splints! I run on the treadmill every morning before work. Secret? My dog ate my…
  • WOW! This thread is still going? I think you should find a female PT and make your man happy. That is unless you feel your relationship isn't worth it.
  • Me too! Best tuna is mixed with roasted red pepper hummus with a few sweet gherkins and a hardboiled egg in it.... Eaten right out of the BOWL!
  • Two! A Rottie/Shepherd mix who is almost 100 pounds and thinks he is a little lap doggy and his sister a bluetick beagle who is finally starting to grow out of her destructive phase LOL
  • I LOVE Coffee!!!!!! BUT, I'm not drinking any right now. It is bad for developing eggs. :-\ Soooo, I only drink it during the second half of my cycle.
  • I failed. :-( After all my other workouts I was only able to handle 2 minutes of planks and that was broken down into 20 second ones. BUT I did improve soooo that's gotta count for something! LOL
  • If I am making stir fry I use some form of marinade, dressing or broth, but if they are being sauteed for a recipe, I use olive oil or coconut oil.
  • Walmart has a wonderful HRM with chest strap for $50. That said, I'm 185 and with my HRM burned 236 cals in 24 minutes on the stationary bike. I think it is entirely possible to burn 297cals in that amount of time, but I would definitely invest in a HRM with a chest strap.
  • Pineapple has been wonderful for my skin.
  • Only thing that helps me is Excedrin Extra Strength (Migraine or Tension Headache, all three have the same ingredients). That and a completely dark no lights allowed room while begging for the pain to stop. I know there are some natural remedies like massages and I think something "odd" like a tablespoon of honey or apple…
  • THIS!!!!!! Chocolate is what I crave during TOM because I am slightly anemic to begin with. Chocolate is a great source of IRON! I would definitely start a multivitamin. I usually make it through as long as I am taking mine.
  • Chicken Noodle Veggie Soup. Our "bonus meal" this week. No actual chicken in it though. I made it with chicken stock from our chicken this weekend. It has potatoes, corn, peas, carrots, onion, celery, and gluten free noodles. 103 cals per cup! Oh, and it has a little cayenne pepper, rosemary, and parsley in it.
  • After reading that margarine is only 1 ingredient away from plastic and has 27 ingredients in common with paint, well, I'm not going to be eating it once it is all out of the house. I use PAM for eggs as well.
  • Challenge Accepted! - Figuring out if there is an inconspicuous way I can knock some of these out while at work LOL - Probably not LOL
  • I weigh in Saturday mornings. Occassionally I will weigh in on another day, but I don't typically record that weigh in. Its more of a "I had a big meal last night, how bad was it on the scale? Oh, not as bad as I thought." LOL
  • Gee Whiz! No need to get all cranky over it. I wanted to know the answer to the question. You say it can't be done, so be it. I still wanted to know the answer and I still might try to do it. How is that hurting you? There really was no need to get all cranky over the whole thing. I never said anyone was stupid or tried to…
  • Not jumping on you, but you should have my hubby cook for you! Oh Em GEEE!!!!! We eat 90% clean as well. We both love to cook and I prefer cooking with minimal processed ingredients. I feel so much better when we eat homecooked meals that aren't from a box. I'm going to start making my own rice flour too!
