I am a distance runner. I absolutely love it!

Thanks for sharing the resource! I will check it out. I love trail running! I sort of winged it when I ran my first 50 (though I did have several marathons prior to the race). I figured maybe I should do some research & specific planning this time as I am hoping to increase the ultra distance to 100k. Good luck as you…

Uuughhh...the dreaded injuries along the way. Don't you hate it! I hope your recovery goes well & that your ready to go for the 60.

Hi, Danielle! Glad you found it interesting as well. Yes, I would definitely agree that running is mostly about our mental state and how we approach the run before, during and afterwards. Happy running!

How did your 50 go? What did your training plan look like? Glad to find another ultra runner on here.

Yes, my metabolism has slowed down tremendously. I am 46. I have run marathons and ultra marathons this past year and still no change. Frustrating. I added strength training this past year which has been somewhat helpful and I am looking to add core exercises. And of course, I have cut calories. Good luck to you!!

I have since put back on my running shoes. How about you?

Yes, you got it. I appreciate the encouragement! I have since gotten out there and have run for 30 minutes. It's a start. :)

Fortunately, I suffered no major injuries. Prior to the ultra in February, I had run two simultaneous marathons (one in late Dec. & one in early Jan.). I think I was just tired upon the completion of the one in February. Friends were talking about training for a 100 miler and I couldn't imagine keeping the rigorous…

Feel free to add me. I recently jumped back onto the app. Looking to do a full marathon in Dec./Jan. and another ultra in February if I can convince another person to train with me. Happy running!

Would like to be add too! Thanks!
