Yes. I tend to reward myself with something that accentuates my goal. Like if I nailed legs for the past few weeks and they're looking great, I'll buy a new dress or shorts. If my arms are the ones that responded best since last goal, I'll go for that awesome top I've wanted. I reward a lot of clothes haha.

This. I know this isn't likely the case since you said you have multiple friends that are logging very suspicious calorie intakes...but it could be because they're using multiple programs. On my other MFP account I had linked in all sorts of other accounts and at first thought they were all communicating correctly and then…

I second Krav Maga. I used to practice at a Martial Arts studio that offered kickboxing, krav maga, and every type of MA. Different classes on different days. There was a program where you pay for 33 sessions and you could mix match. Show up for Krav one day, TKD the next, and so forth. I found that I liked Krav and…

Reviving a dead thread ;) Les Mills combat Kick Start was today. Anyone else doing this one?

I get that way too. After a great workout streak it's time for a rest day and I have to still keep motivation for the next day. I like to instead find a low key activity to do. Like go to dog park, botanical gardens, even shopping/browsing. The act of walking and being out in fresh air or public still gives some exercise…

That's how I like to think of it too! If I say 5-7 lbs per month I sometimes roll my eyes at myself because I haven't lost that much in a month yet, what makes me think i can do it now? But if I put it in smaller terms, like a lb a week -- that's the same thing, yet my mind is willing to "accept" that I can do that. Mind…

You look amazing! Congrats on reaching your happy goal and kudos for maintaining, and being able to make necessary changes that make YOU happy! So glad to hear :)

I've been having this internal struggle for 6 months. As of now, Fitbit Charge (with or without HR) is best option. I would go with Jawbone UP3, but that was supposed to be shipped in December and is now postponed until April. Huge disappointment. The biggest thing for me was durability in water. Not that I swim a lot or…

This is great to see! Thanks for posting. We all know that fluctuations happen, but when it happens to us it can be discouraging -- because WHAT IF it doesn't come back off!? If you're sticking to a plan, then it likely will. :)

I understand where you're coming from. I've never been more than 30 lbs overweight, but I've experienced the same type of thing. Where I'm really good for a few months, and then I just fall off after I've lost 10-15 lbs. I've never felt extremely overweight, either. So bouncing back a few pounds here and there was/is…

Usually my calves look the best first. Likely because I do a lot of HIIT and the legs get the best work out from that. I wish my arms would tone up! Seems like those are the last to do anything and it's frustrating because that's the one thing I want to look better the most!

Mid 20s, 5'4 with 30ish lbs to lose, here. Feel free to add :)

Good point. Love homemade salsa and dips!

Modifying pushups can be hard (without favoring the other wrist and unevenly building). Try some yoga moves during push-up time. Like different levels of a "table top", warrior stances, planks on forearms instead of hands...while you don't necessarily get the same arm benefits with these as you would pushups, it at least…

I need one too! Feel free to add me

I'm a vet student. 8 Hours in a lecture chair certainly doesn't help the whole fitness motivation thing...

I have a rice cooker/veggie steamer combo that I LOVE. I'm trying to find my next kitchen addition. Definitely a kitchen scale. I've thought about a nutribullet many times but don't know if it's something that I'd use a lot. I do like smoothies, but think the "usefulness" of it would ware off after a few weeks and then I'd…

Hi. I'm 5'4, 26F, and looking to lose ~30-40 lbs (currently 175-180lb). Today is my restart date and I'm doing Les Mills Combat with some T25 and running. Feel free to add

I've done a little bit of Insanity, T25, and Les Mills Combat. Insanity gave the fastest results, but it takes a greater toll on the body and is a hard intro program. T25 or LMC is what I'd recommend for getting started with. There's enough intensity that you KNOW you're body is working, but it's not too hard on the knees…

Hhah! I have one of those but my refrigerator is Houdini so it doesn't work out

Same here. I recently booked a trip to Hawaii with plenty of swim suit prep time ;-) THe actual booking of it was a great kick in the butt to get MORE serious :)

Mine goal is 140ish. I'm currently 175-180.

Great progress! So happy to hear that you are in a good mental place with your journey!

Amazing results! Keep it up and congrats (ahead of time) on the marathon! That's a big decision and one I'm doing as well

Looking great!

Amazing! Can't wait to see the next progress :)

Awesome job! You look amazing! Hope I can achieve the same in the next year
