Incredible transformation! Well done!

I'm checking in, too. Been 15 days AF and I'm feeling good about that. This is definitely the longest I've abstained since I was pregnant w/ my last child (and that child is now 12 yrs old - ha!) Keep on keepin' on, everyone! We can do it.

10 days dry. The first week was tough -- terrible, awful cravings!! So tempted. But it's getting easier with each day. The scale hasn't really budged yet, but I'm hopeful that will change in time. Good job to all who working on reducing or abstaining. Thanks for sharing your struggles, successes, etc.!

Way to go!

So far, so good. Started abstaining a few days before Sept. began, so it's been a week. This probably the longest I've gone without a drink in years.

Day 1 - done! Prepping dinner is definitely my trigger...I like to drink wine while I cook. Today I had lemon-lime seltzer instead. I think I need to drink something a little more special to replace my wine ritual...something nonalcoholic reserved for when I start cooking in the evening.

Count me in! Gotta find another way to relax/relieve stress. I already exercise regularly, but maybe now I'll do even more!

I'm in for September! I've already gone 2 days alcohol free. Trying to lose the last couple of stubborn lbs and break the daily drinking habit.
-
Wow! What an amazing change. You look radiant!
-
Incredible achievement!! Congratulations!

Hope this challenge is renewed for Sept! I'll definitely want to join you all & will be ready to start fresh on 9/1.

I live in New England and, damn, it snows a lot here.

I needed to read this! I'm going through "the change" as well and have been crawling out of my skin! I took up running last Nov and I would love to run 10k race soon. Congrats on your race...it inspires me! :)
-
Incredible! You look radiant!
-
I'm so sorry. I'm praying for you all.

I started running last Nov. with a goal of eventually being able to run 10 miles (why 10? I have no idea...just a double digit distance.) Made it to 7 miles in May and then hurt my knee. Took a few months off to heal and now I'm back at it, slowly building my mileage back. Want to reach my original goal by this Nov!

I own a treadmill, but I used an elliptical at a gym to rehab a sore knee after extended running on asphalt. Both have their place and can be very helpful if weather is awful and you can't run outdoors (treadmill) or you want low impact to protect/rehab joints (elliptical). Many runners crosstrain using elliptical or…

You speak the truth!! I have a close family member in her early 60s who makes all sorts excuses for why she doesn't exercise. As a result, she has probably gained @50-60 lbs. in the last decade. I'm 45 and I refuse to go down that road!
-
WOW!!! Congratulations on your incredible achievement!

Same here...so done with Fitbit. I've had zero luck with the ones I've owned. For the money, they should work better than they do. I'm investing in a Garmin next!
-
AWESOME! Congrats to you! :)
-
What a remarkable change!! Your story is helping so many people - thanks for sharing it!

Way to go! You look terrific!!

Incredible transformation! Congrats!

How inspiring! I imagine your RA & back issues makes exercise very challenging. I'm so impressed by your determination!!

Holy smokes! What a change! Congratulations!!!
