I think having meals at regular intervals (immediately after waking up, then 3 hrs after that, then 5 hrs after that, then nothing before bed) has been a huge factor in contributing to the diminishing of my binge urges. I also cut out HFCS completely, and try to keep my meals high in fiber as was suggested above.

Thing is, it can be really disheartening to have someone so close to you not take an interest in this, and not be supportive. I get that, I do. I think the best thing you can do is show her how committed you are to this, and the progress it helps you to make. Over time, I think she'll warm up ♥

I use protein bars as my breakfast for a nice hit at the start of the day, and then I use protein rich meat replacements like Lifelight Beefless Grounds, and also lots of mushrooms, for many of my meals. Typically I get 9g for breakfast, 26g at lunch and 57g for dinner, if I'm having my standard meals.

To add a different perspective, coming from someone who started out ~360lbs and sticks around the 1200 calorie point, I sat down and worked out what I needed on a daily basis, nutrient-wise, and then built from there.
