Costco sells crumbled bacon. I put one tsp in the pan then microwave about a cup of broccoli until it's soft. Then into the pan with the bacon along with 2 scrambled eggs.

I have plain nonfat Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of bran and a teaspoon of stevia. The oat bran has the added bonus feature of making me regular.

I'm bipolar and take it to counteract weight gain side effects from my psych meds. I think it's working since I haven't gained a lot of weight with the meds.

I can't believe how rude and out of touch some of those comments are. The DSM-5 defines binge eating disorder as a psychiatric disorder covered by health insurance. Check it out.

Binge eating disorder is now officially listed as a psychiatric disorder so treatment is now widely covered under insurance. Look into this. You don't have to treat it yourself anymore

You have s bigger problem than the workout one. He's abusing you. Did he pressure you into marrying him soon after you met?

I just started reading a book about binging. Very interesting thoughts about weighing. They recommend once a week weighing.
-
I just finished Overcoming Binge Eating by Dr. Christoper Fairburn. Very interesting. The program sounds like a lot of work but probably worth it. Has anyone tried the program?

Unfortunately I am required to take a snack with my medication. The key is to choose an appropriate snack. I will try my best.

I find that plain nonfat Greek yogurt with stevia and oat bran helps fill me up. Hope this helps

Like a previous poster I allow myself to watch tv while on the machines.

I'm a 55 year old woman who lives about half an hour from bill and Melinda gates (but never met them) in Washington state. I suffer from schizoaffective disorder so my meds have a tendency to make me gain weight. I am a published author, have been married 32 years and have two grown boys. I look forward to making this…

At least we have more information with mfp. It really helps me to track what I'm eating. Just ordered a good scale
-
I didn't do well either. Too much candy and bad food choices
-
Counseling could maybe help you get to the bottom of why you binge. It helped me

In my teen years I would lose (and gain) 10 lb in two weeks. Those days are long gone (I'm 55) and my new reality is that I have to work hard to lose a pound.

I've had good luck watching tv while on the elliptical or bike. I even find myself staying longer if something interesting is on. I watch programs I don't allow myself to watch at home

Why are there so many mean people on these threads?

Some days I feel hungrier than others. When I feel hungry all the time my go-to food is lean hamburger or steak. As someone said earlier the protein/fat combo does it for me.

As I read this I'm about to walk into a meeting where pizza will be served. I ate dinner before I got here but I'm suddenly starving. I have 36 calories left for the day. Wish me luck

I've had a problem with inching my entire life. I am now 55 and remember at 15 coming home from school and because there was nothing to binge on in the house, mixing flour, sugar and butter together and eating that.I am finding that MFP is helping me as long as I force myself to write down everything I eat.

People keep saying to eat smaller portions but the problem with that advice for me is that I have to quit eating before I'm full.
-
Have you heard of the Dukan diet? It is a carb free diet that worked for me.

I suggest counseling
-
I found counseling was helpful to identify the underlying problem that led to the weight problem in the first place
-
You might want to consider seeing a counselor to help you understand the reason weight is an issue.
-
I think the answer lies in counseling. Something was going on that triggered you and counseling can help identify the problem. It doesn't mean you're weak if you seek counseling.
