@glevinso You misunderstood my question. I stated that there are SOURCES claiming that the heart and metabolism are working harder to regulate body temperature. There are also sources that also indicate that sauna sessions on its own are not a significant calorie burn which I am more inclined to follow. But thank you for…

In the book Beyond Antibiotics, Dr. Michael A. Schmidt explains the benefits of the slightly lower temperature of an infrared sauna like this: “Saunas are being used by some doctors to stimulate the release of toxins from the bodies of their patients. They have found that a lower temperature (105º-130ºF) sauna taken for a…

Thank you for pointing that out and I do agree that there is little evidence. Yes, this is referring to the sauna and athletic training as a 1-2 combination that strengthens the immune system.

This is an excerpt from an article I Was reading earlier today So I think although in trace amounts, there is presence of toxins being flushed through perspiration and as an extension through a sauna session... Any thoughts?

Most of us come with two types of sweat glands: eccrine glands and apocrine glands. Eccrine glands cover the majority of your body and are responsible for the cooling effect of sweating [source: Mayo Clinic]. Eccrine sweat is almost entirely water with a little salt and potassium, but it also contains trace amounts of…

I'm not sure what works for you. However here in MFP if you go into Exercise ---> Cardiovascular> Strength Training There is an option for strength training to be logged and it gives you a rough estimate of how much you burn. Not sure on accuracy but at least you get a range to better gauge your nutrition strategy ;)

Although I didn't have a chance to watch this fight I was completely taken by surprise with the end results. First, Holly Holm was defeated. I was disappointed. Second, Connor McGregor was man handled. Now although I've never appreciated CM as a fighter and his "methods" during press conferences. I have to just say, This…

This attempt to eat 5 Oreo cookies is admirable @Carlos_421 however from my observation and through extensive studying in university I have observed that the last Oreo is clinging on for dear life. Your attempt is invalid. Therefore I win. Again. :D But yeah this is definitely bringing sexy back ;)
