Don't lose weight to be noticed by others. Lose weight to improve your "self" and become the best you can be. Also yes I agree with previous posts, commenting on someone's weight can be difficult because some people may be sensitive or offended easily on the subject. But congratulations are in order!!! 15 lbs is a…

Often when I am I serious training I'm up by 4 or 5 am for a morning run or swimming, maybe with all your commitments as a teacher, wife and mother this could work for you. It's a place where you can track your nutrition and exercise first and foremost. ....And meet like minded, goal oriented, driven, and motivated people.... after that it's up to you. It's very common for members to meet someone and engage in correspondence and further that into a blossoming relationship. More power to them.

You get to travel, race with the pros, collect some blind and carb up pre race ;) And when you look back ... you'll know it's worth ever drop of sweat and earn bragging right for a lifetime ;)

My follow up question is why do pro endurance athletes then find this V02 number and V02 max training to be a useful metric ...?? most of the comments here have suggested V02 max is "useless" ... but it seems the majority of professional endurance athletes hold VO2 max in high regard

@usmcmp Yes this makes sense, I've been reading that a company would much rather sponsor an individual who is good with people, able to connect etc... The reason I am so curious is because alot of these sports do not allow the athlete to make much of a living and I have read numerous articles that confirm this... elite…

First I thought this post read "Why is everyone doing exercise" .... it must be the weekend... I've been doing some multi sport training focussing on swimming cycling and running! I love to ride the bike for 1-2 hours!!! I found this beautiful route adjacent to a river and very light traffic and I try to ride that route as…

Yes I've been reading that some athletes don't have the results to back it up yet companies fall in love with his/her character/personality and their ability to market a brand to a wide demographic.... blah blah blah ..... But my question is how? So if they win races or contests.... does a company like Nike say boom here's…

There is no option for kick boxing. Maybe just use the "boxing" option or "martial arts" option? Endomondo is just the greatest :)

Stick to your plan for the 5K run.. Visualize the run. Enjoy it! Work on the Nutrition aspect whatever it is that you have so chosen. Maybe a light breakfast if it's an early morning event. Stay hydrated before during (maybe) and after. And most of all congratulations on your progress mate ;)
