Teenage bodies are growing. Growth takes a caloric surplus.

How tall are you? Are you as satisfied eating meals out as you would be prepping meals with the same macros/calories?
-
Nope, no proprietary blends.
-
Warning to the OP - don't use "protein shake" and "meal replacement" in the same sentence. People here will go asparagus. If you're looking to optimize protein while minimizing calories, look for a whey protein isolate.

The ingredients list only BCAAs, no beta-alanine or niacin. Try taking half a scoop.

I'm so glad I work from home now. When I worked in an office, I would rely on shakes and convenience foods like protein bars. Now I eat stuff like oatmeal, omlettes and pancakes (Kodiak Cakes) every day.

This. Your total daily energy expenditure takes into account your BMR plus any activity. Even if you lead a largely sedentary lifestyle, even minimal activity (walking from your car to your job) will expend energy. In order to lose weight, your body needs to burn more calories than it consumes. Thus, it's not "unhealthy"…

I've got nothing constructive to add, other than the OP's thread title sounds really dirty.

I follow a deal aggregation site called Slickdeals.net. I have a keyword alert set up for "Quest", so I get an e-mail when there's a deal on Quest bars. It's usually something along the lines of $18 per box with free shipping, but occasionally I can get them for even less, usually when they're about to expire.

Haha. I do this, too. My favorite is Army Guy. The dude does 30 minutes or so cardio, then straight to arms. Every single time.

The Beta Alanine tingling is just a side effect, but I still like it ;-) My pre-workout stack includes creatine, citrulline malate, beta alanine, taurine and caffeine. I buy in bulk and mix myself because it's significantly cheaper and I can ensure proper dosing.

Same here, but I also like the variety that Quest and others provide. The Kirkland bars give me the leverage to hang on until the really good sales.

Fruit (apples, strawberries, bananas, etc.) in the bottom, 1/2 to 3/4 cup oats, salt, 6-8 seconds worth of water from the fridge. Microwave 2:20. Let it for 5 minutes. Add 30g whey protein.

Yep. Halo Top has so little calories, it's really a non-factor. I save it for times when I'm close to or at my calorie goal, but still crave a snack.
-
A cup of 2% milk has about 33% more calories than skim milk (120 calories vs 90 calories). For some people, the taste is worth the additional calories.

Asking someone if you can work in is one thing, asking someone to unrack their weight, move to another bench and rack their weights again is another. If you do that, you had better be prepared for the possibility of a confrontation.

So, the conclusion is that lean people eat less and exercise more than obese people. Brilliant!

It's super awkward and distracting to have someone right in front of you when you're lifting. In my gym we have two double-sided power racks. During crowded times, it's often that you'll have someone facing you on the opposite side of the rack. I always try to let them finish their set (squat, DL, OHP, etc.) before…
-
If your only interest is short term weight loss and you must pick one, cardio will generally burn more calories (i.e. create a caloric deficit) than lifting.
-
Those sounds terrible. I see a lot of the trainers at my gym sort of casually go through a workout with lots a small talk. I've seen them work with the same clients for years with absolutely zero progress.

Creatine and Taurine are cheap. Throw it out and get some more.

Iced coffee with a scoop of protein. Maybe an apple.

Nutrient timing is not as important as some make it out to be. Many people find success training in a fasted state and/or practicing intermittent fasting. Do what works for you.
-
I'd be willing to bet that "super fit" people are judged at least as often as they judge others. This post is a case in point.
-
I don't think that's what Anvil is saying. It's not HIIT, but it's still interval training that will get your heart rate up. Give it a go!

I lift usually lift six days a week and do some type of cardio/high intensity training four days a week. Three days are lift-only, one day is cardio-only and three are combined. I'll occasionally take a day off for a full day of travel and/or if I'm traveling with a large group.

FYI - Kroger has them on sale right now: 5 pints for $3.49 each. I look at Halo Top the same as Quest bars: an expensive treat that I'll have a few times a week.
