No. If you are binging and not doing well on the plan you're already on, you will definitely not do well with a more restrictive diet. You don't need ramen noodles or instant oatmeal, unless that's what you like to eat, and in that case, you just fit it into your goals. Some cheap foods to fill up on: beans (if you have a…

Someone actually told me that I was "wasting my away to nothing," when I was down to 175 from 260 (at 5'7")... I just thought wow, really?? I'm just barely not obese anymore... And I feel healthy and strong, not like I'm "wasting away..." Lol I just took it as a compliment though. I think people really just don't know what…

I have learned so much from this thread!

You're right :) but I had gone over the 2 days before and am trying to get back into good habits because after a 96 lb loss I've been at the same weight for a couple months... I'd like to finally shed these last 9 lbs to reach my goal :)
-
Thank you! Date night ended up getting cancelled, but I will keep all that in mind for next time :)
-
You haven't been stuck for at least a month... April only started 13 days ago! Weight loss will ebb and flow- just keep at it. It's only been 13 days.

I've been resistance training since the beginning of my weight loss journey... You should do both. Now that I'm leaner I can see cuts in my muscles that I've never had before... I did a hand stand today. A HAND STAND. I've never ever been strong enough to do that in my life. You should do both- and do them together.…

It took me about 5 months to lose my first 50... Started at 245, got down to 195 in 5 months.

Are you saying that when you count exercise your NET is 1600-2000? Or you are eating 1600-2000 and also exercising and burning 600 calories? So netting 1000-1400? Please clarify... And how do you know you are burning 600 calories? Seems to me that with 100+ lbs to lose, 6 lbs in your first week should not be too alarming.…

Sorry, not your calorie goals- your weekly goals... Confirm your weekly goal and even if you don't change anything it will recalculate if it needs to be recalculated.
-
Go into your goals and open the calorie goals... It should automatically recalculate when you open it.

1. Health, energy levels to keep up with my children, to look decent in a swimsuit, to be able to shop wherever I want 2. I'm 10 lbs from my goal. After a year of diligent, consistent, hard work there is literally NOTHING that will keep me from my goals. Well, OK... Maybe if I got run over by a bus and died...

I weigh beans, shredded cheese before I put it in my omelette, meat, salad dressing, peanut butter, yogurt, my avocado before I put it on my sandwich, chips so I know I'm eating a correct portion, pretty much anything... I use grams sometimes and ounces other times... Grams aren't any more accurate than ounces (most…

I eat what I want every day and have lost 95 lbs so far! I do exercise self control and eat proper portions, but nothing is off limits for me. I love chocolate. If I have stayed under my calories for the day, I treat myself to dove dark chocolate before bed... 42 calories a piece... Last night I had enough calories left to…

You're doing fine! The last 10-15 lbs are stubborn... I have 10 lbs to lose now to get to my goal and it is coming off, slowly but surely... I disagree with the statement that exercise is for health... Exercise is ALSO for creating or adding to a deficit... Definitely :) I don't create my deficit purely through exercise…

That's pretty fast but not too concerning with how high your weight is and the fact that it's right in the beginning... If you want to slow it down, try eating 500 calories more per day and see if you lose at a slower pace :)
-
Oh but I'm a female... I missed the fact that you're a dude... Makes sense!
-
Hmmmm that does seem high but I'm definitely not an expert... I started out at 245 and set it to 2 lbs a week; it gave me only 1560! I'm 5'7".

I bought my first swimsuit in almost 7 years this week! A size 8 and I feel good in it! I started at a 20, and never ever wore a suit without covering every inch of it, so this is huge for me...

I guess it depends on where you live, too... I have seen people claiming these kinds of prices but I have yet to see them ANYWHERE. But I live in San Diego, so these prices are just unheard of. So nice for those of you who live in cities/states with a lower cost of living

Jillian Michaels would never advise anyone to eat a pound of meat and nothing else. What diet plan are you talking about?
-
You just have to be patient and lose the fat... I feel the same way! I've lost 93 lbs and am getting close to my goal but my things are annoying... Even though my upper body looks awesome! But I kinda figure that there will just always be something that irritates me about my body, and I should just embrace the shape I…

I'm 5'7". My heaviest weight was 260 after I had my last baby, current weight 167.8, and a size 8... My goal is 155... If I still feel like I want to lose more when I get there then I'll keep going... But I have had 6 children and have no fantasies or dreams about being any kind of swimsuit model, so I am thinking I may be…

It's plenty accurate... You can weigh to a tenth of an ounce... It's just a different measurement, just as accurate though. If I weigh out 3 oz of chicken or 85 grams, it makes no difference.

How much did you expect to lose in 3 weeks?
-
I agree with those who said just eat smaller portions of whatever you make for the family... I made pizza last night, but just had 1 and a half slices instead of 3 like everyone else, and I also put my recipe into the recipe builder so I knew how many calories I'd be eating... Tonight I made a huge pot of chicken tortilla…

Caesar salad with a pesto/turkey/mozzarella grilled sammie...

I am 33, 5'7", and my highest weight was 260 last year... During christmastime last year I lost 15 lbs without trying (super stressed with closing escrow on our home and apparently I am a forget to eat type of person when I'm stressed)... I didnt really notice a difference at that time, but other people did... Then I…

My favorite, favorite breakfast is 4 egg whites (68 calories) with a huge handful of baby spinach (20 calories) and 2 slices of nitrate free bacon (80 calories) on a high fiber "triple health" English muffin (100 calories) with 4g of butter (33 calories)- total of 301 calories for breakfast and I feel good until…
