Reading Jillian michaels' book "Slim for Life" was really helpful to me... She recommends only logging and counting/measuring in the first couple of weeks to get acquainted with what proper portion sizes are...

If you exercised, why would you "have" to eat more?

"Smart balance" plastic "butter" isn't very good for anyone... But real butter is a great source of fat. Everything in moderation! And if it fits into your calorie goals, go for it. I eat a tsp. of butter on my English muffin every morning. I wouldn't eat it without!

MFP started me at 1560... But I ate closer to 1200-1300... Now that I'm down so much, it dropped my calories to 1360... But I'm still staying in the 1200-1300 range most days. I don't eat back my exercise calories either because I just don't trust MFP calculations...

My typical breakfast is 2 eggs scrambled with 2 cups of steamed baby spinach, a sourdough English muffin with a tsp of butter, half cup of mixed berries and my coffee with 2 tbs creamer... If I'm more hungry, I'll skip the coffee and creamer, add a couple slices of bacon, and switch out one of the eggs for 2 egg whites...

I started by doing body revolution for the first 12 weeks, and now I am in the middle of body shred... I don't really follow her recipes and meal plan. My eating plan is really just clean, simple foods... Protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats... And I try and keep it in the ballpark of 1200 calories per day... Thanks…

No workout is going to get rid of belly fat. You can tone your abs under the fat but that's it. You just need to eat less than you burn, and less carbs (carbs and alcohol swell the belly), no alcohol...

Who would ever want to spend an hour on a treadmill?! That would be torturous for almost anyone... I bet you could run longer if you got outside. Or did something else to mix it up...

2300 calories is way too much if you're trying to lose weight... Even with exercise. The goal is to be at a deficit, so it's better to be lower than higher. I never eat back my exercise calories... And I've been losing a steady 2 lbs a week.
