I think I am middle of the road with caffeine sensitivity. I drink about 28 oz of coffee in the morning (before 9) and about 60 oz of tea in the mid day (10 - 3). I don't have any problems falling or staying asleep. I get 8 or 9 hours a night. A few months back, before Keto and before afternoon tea, I tried an afternoon…

Sea salt in my afternoon BP tea! Who'da thunk it would taste so good, fill me up and then I feel great! No afternoon grogginess!

Sunny_Bunny_, I too really struggle with focus. I (thank goodness) do not suffer with ADHD. In 2015, I lost my mom and my ex husband (my sons father). It's been difficult to work since then due to daydreams, starting too many tasks, just staying motivated. Yesterday was a breakthrough for me. And guess what-- down 1.2 lbs…

Like Sunny_Bunny_, I am on carrington farm coconut oil. Today was like -AAAAHHHH--- and the Angels were singing! I worked all day with focus and good spirits! Never really hungry, no big lunch meal, just a handful of macadamia nuts.

Looking great!! This is inspiring!! I agree with Karlottap - nice girly figure. I need to take some before pictures now.

I just started additional supplements. I was already taking multi vitamin and biotin. I added magnesium, potassium and a fish oil. I felt better almost immediately after adding sea salt into my beef broth last night.

I log every day. You can add me too.

I'm 5'4", 45 yo, and 160 lbs (ugh!). 1500 cal 80% fat - 107g 15% protein - 67g 5% carb - 13g I am 25 days on Keto and not seeing any loses, so I keep moving my targets around to see what works. Carbs I usually do ok on. I struggle with fat to protein ratio. I usually end up with too much protein. I've been thinking on this…

This is amazing! I bet the meat tastes better than what I am purchasing from the grocery store. I need to look for this in Atlanta area.

Thank you, Karlottap, and all! This is very informative thread for me. I am not sure I'm ready for mct. I just started coconut oil on Wed. My stomach was noisy yesterday, I think telling me to take it easy. I enjoy my daily "over creamed" (w/ HWC) coffee with Splenda. It helps me get out if bed on these cold mornings! I…

Wow! Very interesting!

Do you use a Splenda or other sweetener? For my 20 oz tervis coffee cup, I use 3 T hwc and a Splenda packet. Maybe I should try butter instead? Oh, what is mct?

thanks sault_girl! Yes, that's the whole point!

I have a similar story. Week 1, I lost 8 lbs. Weeks 2&3 were stable-no loss but no gains! That was my monthly visit during that time too. My calories were up so I am thrilled to just maintain! I am hopeful to see some loss this week. I am cutting out the cheese for a while. I think I eat too much but I need to find some…

Thanks New Friends!! I am still learning how to use the MFP features. I'm 20 days in and log everyday.

Hi, I just opened mine. I didn't even know it was an option. I need positive keto friends too.

I had mine removed in 1998, just 3 months after my 2nd child was born. I was 28. There was weight loss then too but most of that was baby. I have not had any trouble with LCHF but I am still pretty new and have only lost 6 lbs.

I have 3 & 5 lb hand weights in my TV room and bedroom. I pick them up a few times a week. Just seeing them is a reminder. I don't know if this would cause distress because of your back issues, but it helps me.

All excellent ideas! I like mustard, hot sauce, avocado mayo sounds amazing! A spicy cheese sounds good too! I'm not sure that I could go without lunch. It sounds like a good idea, but I think the ice cream store clerks that I drive by on my way home from work would call my name and I'd be too weak to resist. :) :) :)

I like the deli meat/cheese roll ups. They are easy to take to the office and don't require much prep. I stick to Boars Head to avoid the fillers and yucky stuff. I'm curious though...I bought BH no salt added turkey and it's very bland. (It needs salt..haha). Does anyone have suggestions to perk this up?

Thanks for the warm welcome and pointing me in the right direction. There is soooo much information here, it's hard to know where to start. I think I'm gonna like this group!!
