Tried another new recipe this week: baked potatoes stuffed w/tuna, artichoke hearts & fresh basil w/capers. A winner! Remembered to jot down something each evening in my Gratitude Journal, so another success. And kept my tracking streak up. It's been a challenging week and it hasn't been pretty, but it's tracked to the nth…

@marekdds dang that's no mean fear maintaining your loss like that. You seriously rock!

I love reading about everyone's positive experiences & insights. Y'all inspire me!!!! :)

Yeah it's amazing how something like the simple act of tracking what u consume & how much u move seems so straight forward - on the surface - and any is anything but :)

The vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt (non-fat) tastes pretty good IMO & is worth the extra calories for me. I usually add a sliced banana & a scoop of PB2 & have it for breakfast.

Adding some to non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt w/ a sliced banana makes a yummy breakfast.

@marekdds thanks! :smile:

I'm with you in that I exercise because it feels good. Also, I like being in shape. I think if I started tying exercise in my head to "losing weight" it would start to feel like a chore to me. From what I've read as well, it seems like being too sedentary is what's really kind of unhealthy.

Wow that's awesome!!!! You rock!

Here's how I did this week; 1. Kept up my tracking streak - yay! 2. Tried one new recipe - meh. Need to keep looking for a new go-to. 3. Started jotting down one thing in grateful for.

I find a large organic apple usually takes the edge off & keeps me from gnawing my arm off. That powdered peanut-butter PB2 isn't bad, either. You mix 2T. w/some water & create insta-PB to spread on the apple for only an additional 45 calories. A canister of PB2 can last a while, too.

My April goals: 1. Keep my streak going by continuing to all my food w/o fail every day. 2. Break out of my cooking rut and try at least 2 new recipes I can add to my regular rotation. 3. Start a Gratitude Journal and write at least a sentence in it every evening.

Hi I'm Lesley & I just turned 50 in February. I'm New to MFP but was on weight watchers for a long time, got to goal & stayed there. Until I wandered off the Reservation. *shakes head* ah well, back to what I know works: portion sizes & tracking. I love the MFP app & community. I'm a freelance writer. I've been doing…

Hi there! I'm relatively new to MFP but was on weight watchers for a long while. Got to goal weight & stayed there for a couple years until ... life kinda happened. Back to doing what I know works, especially tracking & loving the MFP app & community both. I turned 50 in February & I currently live in Portland, Oregon & am…

I started shopping more at Goodwill, especially jeans. It's amazing the decent jeans they have & if you stick to just tags with the color of the day, u can usually get a pair for under $4. That way when they're too big, you won't feel bad donating them back there again. It just feels better to wear stuff that fits…

This is kinda old school, but I've started making instant pudding again. I used to love those so much as a kid. Hain makes a chocolate "superfood" one that actually tastes like choc. A serving is under 100 cals. Sadly a lot of the Jello pudding mixes (like Pistachio) taste fake & chemically to me. The Dr. Oetker dark-choc…

For me personally I've found focusing on protein first helps me feel full. For a snack, I love low fat (but not nf) cottage cheese w/ fro blueberries for example as it lasts for a while. (Protein+fiber+a little fat seems to do the trick). I also to go to guys' bodybuilding sites and Men's Health for recipe ideas as those…

Stumptown coffee is really good if on the spendy side. For el cheapo, I started drinking Cafe Bustelo when I lived in Miami - made w/a Moka Pot on the stove (I always see them cheap at Goodwill). Love me some strong, hot Bustelo. :)

It does look delicious. I like meals in that calorie range b/c they don't make me feel like I'm on "a diet" plus I try not to eat between meals, so I don't "spend" a lot of cals on snacks. Looking at your beautifully plated dish, I think I'll pick up some chicken sausage myself next grocery run. :)

I love cottage cheese - 1/2 a cup has around 15g of protein for only 80 cals. I like mixing it with frozen blueberries (thawed). Nancy's is an awesome brand - organic & no carageenan.

I love cottage cheese for high protein w/o tons of cals. The breakfast I've found keeps me full for a long while is 1 cup of cottage cheese (30g protein) w/a cup of blueberries (fresh or fro) mixed in. I really like the lowish-fat one by that brand Nancy's as it's organic & has no carrageenan. Carrageenan (which seems to…
