The worst is when I was younger (and nonone knew a vegan but me since I have been one for 25 years) I would be subject to having people stand over my lunch say at work and pick it apart. It was so rude. I multi times said " look I know a lot of things about your lunch that you likely would be offended if I decided to tell…

Well I am one and have been for 25 years. I know very few LONG term vegans who try to make anyone feel bad for what they eat.

Look ignore it. I have been a vegan for 25 years. Started in the midwest in the late 1989. That was before peope knew what it was. They barely knew veg. I was once told that it was unamerican and that there by I was going to go to hell for being a vegan by a table I waited on at a restaurant. They liked me and wanted to…

That said my son is a vegetarian (by choice at this piont ) and understands calories. He even tells his friends that being a vegetarian is not a magic bullet. Also we all must be honest what is or isn't taught in school is heavily influenced by lobbists who spend a ton of time pressuring local, state, and federal…

As a parent of a very bright teenager, I will say that my teen tends to believe things more if taught by a teacher or somwthing he reads online from a trusted spurce or a book than either of his parents. I don't think parents should replace teavhing facts about calories, about saving money, and about techology. Parents…

Also the knife is often a SUPER bad choice. So many people look really bad and unnatural after work on thier face. No thanks. I know my mom who is thinnish looks great at 70. My grandma who was super thin was stunning her whole life till she passed at 88. You start messing with your face and you could end up doing some…

Umm runnung doesn't impact your face. I am your age. And even at goal I am often told I look younger and I am a runner. Honestly, it sounds like you are struggling with being in your 40's.

Also I have been a vegan for 25 years when I was young in the late 80's and a waitress I often had to put up with other waitresses standing over me during my lunch break telling me my food was weird or gross since it didn't have meat or dairy in it and being a vegan wasn't common. Let me tell you that was fun. Take aside…

Was to OP to continue conversation. Just hit reply
Mine is open to friends but I am not surprised if someone else doesn't want theirs open to anyone. Like I am zero intrest in linking sites like these with my FB and having it annouce that I have lost weight. Pretty sure the random 20 something who worked for me a few years ago doesn't need to know his old boss is trying to…

Becuase they don't feel having total strangers have access to all their personal information. What could be more personal than what you ate during the day. Are you really surprised by that?

I don't have a vivo but I do use a foreruuner 220. They connect the same way through garmin cinnect. In MFP app you click on more then apps and device. Click om garmin connect and you see a button that says connect. I think you then have to put in your garmin connect log in info. I am not sure if you also need the garmin…

Well said
Were you diagnosed as pre diabetic OP? You are eating more than you think. As others have said, weigh and measure accurately, and pick correct entries when you log. Being a vegan, a high carb vegan, or vegetarian has no bearing on weight loss. You still have to eat less than you burn, and logging is the…

That isn't true. Don't fall into a trap of diet veggie food that is super low in calories. Eat real fiod but under your calories for the day.
-
Me too vegan for 25 years and all that matters for my weight is calories in and calories out. If I eat too many calories vegan or not I can weight. If I eat less than I need I drop weight.

I have been vegan for 25 years feel free to add me. I am currently working to get off 50 lbs.

Only ? That is 5 lbs a week ? Which can happen in the beginning but it is the high amount not slow at all.

Being vegan is NOT a silver bullet. Nothing is. I have been every size under the sun in my 25 years as a vegan. I am vegan for a lot of reasons animal, enviro, AND LONG term health. But I undertsand that my size is related to the amount of calories I consume and the amount I move. There is a ton of high calorie vegan junk…

Yes the overall amount of pionts you get factors in free fruits and veggies. So if you are doing WW and not over doing it. Then it works ( I am a vegan who lost 75 lbs on WW and kept it off for a years but I stopped doing everything and regained 55 decided to switch to MFP snd calories for a change) but you won't drop…

I lost 75 lbs on WW the time I was the most successful. And I kept it off for years. I have been vegan for 25 years. And before this round ( regained 55 lbs my fault) WW was the onky formal diet that ever worked for me as a vegan since Points can be assisgned to any food and you use your own food. First time I did it was…
