  • Count me in 43 ( 44 next month) have multi times lost a lot (most was 75 lbs in 07/08 on ww). Last year I lost over 30 lbs on MFP in 4 months. Had a REALLY hard personal year with losing multi family members and mid forties hormones kicking my butt. So I regained 40 between Nov 1 and april 1st. So here I am 216 pounds…
  • I did WW a ton of times to success. The highest was 07/08 lost 75 lbs and kept it off till 2011. Last year I lost 35 lbs from march to july on MFP. Last year I also dealt with major family death and issues the deaths caused so I put it all back on between Oct and April. Not MFP's fault since I stopped. Anyhow since the…
  • I had the opposite happen. I thought I was a 38 D when I started at 207.8 (5'9) down 30 lbs decided I needed a good multiway/strapless for the summer. Went to Soma and got fitted. Umm I am currently a 36 DDD or 34 G WTF. My jaw was on the floor. But wholey heck what a difference a fitted bra makes. Smallest band that can…
  • Not done but 28 lbs out of the 60 I plan to drop. I started at 207.8 and I am 5'9 currently 179.8 but hoping to hit 177 by my 43rd birthday next week. Goal is 147
  • Working on dropping my regain since I had drop 75lbs in 2007 got to my goal of 152 and kept it off for years then regained 55lbs but I am looking to drop 60. Started this time at 207.8 with a goal weight of 147 I am 5'9 Currently down 28 lbs in just under 100 days. Progress pics so far. 43rd Birthday is in a week (7/5) so…
  • I will be 43 in 3 weeks. I always get told I look younger. It is often just in discussions where someone will make the assumption I am younger. Funny thing is starting at 13 people thought I was in my early twenties so I think basically I have looked the generally the same since I was mostly a teen till now.
  • Another thing as fast as possible and healthy can be at odds. Since I did this once before to the total of 75 lbs lost I can tell you that took a year. This time with like 55 to drop the first 25 was fast ( same as last time) and the next 20 will be slower and the final 15 will likely take as long as the first 40.
  • I count calories and run plus walk ( now with a fit bit) nothing else. I am vegan but that has been the case for 25 years and I have been every size so it not a weight loss thing. I set my weight loss to 2 lbs that put me at 1200 calories a day BUT I eat all of my run calories ( HRM gps garmin calulated) and I eat some of…
  • That was me :-). I am 5'9 and in 07 / 08 I lost 75 lbs from 227 to 152 started 18/20. At 175 I am 10/12. At 150 I am 4/6. This time to deal with my 55 lbs regain I started at 207 and a size 16. I am a 12 at 182 (71 days later). And I am buying new clothes as I go. Some are pricey (thanks stitch fix). But most are marshals,…
  • Funny how OP asked fir vegans to comment on stuff people have said to us and the a bunch of people jumped in with why vegans are preachy and do x,y,z. I have beena vegan for 25 years (I am 42). Funny you still eat chicken though right .. Yep off the chicken treee in the yard. It is special day so can't you put that aside…
  • Nice to see a long time vegan as well 25 yrs for me. Anyone feel free to add me.
  • After 20 years of me being a vegan my brother decided that when I was in NYC with my kido he and his wife would take me, my son, my dad, and my mom to the very nice veg restaurant in NYC. Seems I had come down with the flu. I felt off on the subway before we got there. I had two bites of food and then felt amazing sick.…
  • When this happened to me it was a stress fracture in my hip which was only figured out by a doc and an MRI. If it wasnt cuaght then it would have lead to a full break of my hip and likely surgery. I wouldmsay find a doctor.
  • Mine from iphone 6 plus hase ben acting crazy. There was a thread on it and a support notice so it was a known issue that last heard was yet to be resolved. yesterday mine added like an xtra 1000 and claimed I had 28,000 steps but I had 14,000. I just ignored it and only focused on my garmin calories from my HRM running…
  • I have had mine out for 21 years (21 year old vegan when it had to be removed go figure) and have never noticed a difference in what I can eat.
  • Sweet! Congrats!
  • The misunderstanding of WW is pretty common. I did it multi times since you eat your own food and I am vegan(25 yrs and counting not to drop weight). In 07/08 I lost 75 lbs on ww online and made my goal of 152 at 5'9.And I kept it off till 2011. I gained when I stopped counting, tracking, weighing myself and my food, and…
  • I run 5.5 miles everyday day with a garmin HRM and have my calories set at 1200. I eat most of those calories back. In fact setting my calories at 1200 is a huge incentive to get my running shoes on. Working out pretty well for me 13.5 lbs in 34 days.
  • IT should be taught in schools starting early so should real money management.
  • Thank you it has been the roughest two weeks of my whole families life.
  • This .. I maintained for multi years after dropping 75 lbs. I regained some of the weight when I decided that I didnt need to track anymore or weigh myself. For me this will not be done when I get back to goal. This is now like my budget. I track what I spend and I track what I eat. I started MFP at 207.8 and am down 13…
  • I lost 75 lbs (227-152 at 5'9) using WW online in 07/08 (which is baiscally a calorie counting program with formula to create pionts). I kept it off till 2011 so a long term success. In 2011 I gained 30 lbs in 7 months. Stress eating and I got marriaged. And and after two months I got the brillant idea to stop tracking,…
  • In 2007 a set of pictures from a conference sent me to WW online. I was 227 lbs at 5'9. I lost 75 in 13 months and kept it off for a 3 years. In 2011 in 6 months I put on 30 lbs to 180. Then stayed there for a few years. Well last two years I landed back up at 207.8. In the middle of march one night I had funny feeling/…
  • When I lost 75 lbs tons of people later told me that they noticed but they were afraid to say something. People hate to talk about weight. So don't assume silence means they haven't noticed. It just could mean that they are not sure what or how to bring it up without saying the wrong thing.
  • Thankfully you are facing this now while you are young and this can change the course of your life. I just lost my dad 2 weeks ago tomorrow) from a sudden heart attack due to his morbid obesity( whuch cuased his type 2 and hypertenstion). You are on the way just keep going and don't look back.
  • Depends on what weight loss you are going for. I am 5'9 set mine to 2 lbs from a starting weight of 207.8 with a sedentary lifestyle. It wouldn't let me do 2 lbs it lists at 1.8 with a 1200 target. I did that because I am back to running and eat a set of my 5 mile run daily so I actually eat close 1500 on average sometimes…
