  • Weighing ingredients plus weighing final dish plus weighing my portion of said final dish equals three times
  • Thanks- that's what I figured I would have to do… I was just hoping there might be an easier way than having to weigh each "dish" three times! :) I guess it's time to go out and buy that scale now…
  • Ok - yes, I do use the recipe builder, but my portion ends up being approximate, based on visual.... I know it's not accurate...
  • Also, if you can work out, do! :)
  • Also, at 5'3" and 128 pounds, you must not have very much to lose… So your losses will be very slow, I would think. Small fluctuations will happen…
  • I do try to moisturize, but just with a regular body moisturizer… Massage it in. Hoping it helps with skin elasticity more than cellulite, but it could help with both... Though, I agree with the other posters who stated that exercise may help also…
  • On the days when I know I will have a couple/few glasses of wine at night, I try to get in a lot of activity, so that I can use my activity calories for the wine. That way, I'm not using up my nutritional calories in place of the wine... tracking also keeps me honest, so that I'm not drinking more than I think I am, if you…
  • Love Zumba- I do it at home... I find it more fun because I let loose! :)
  • 80-100, depending on the day. At least 30% of calories...
  • I would personally not bother to log the 4 calories in 1/4 lemon, but then I don't log black coffee at 2-4 calories a cup, either... Some seem to be of the mind that you must weigh and log everything that crosses your lips, though... To each his/her own, I say!
  • I love food, too - I think about it constantly- love planning holiday or weekend meals - love cooking and eating out - love carbs (mostly savory, but like dessert, too) - love meat - love fish - oh, I could go on!!! Anyway - I'm trying to cut back where possible, count everything, and exercise a lot... I have 40 more to…
  • If you like the idea of a nice, hot cleansing-type drink, have some hot water or green tea w/ a nice big squeezed hunk of lemon... Just be sure to log the lemon calories... :)
  • So much depends on your frame, IMO... I'm 44, just a tad under 5'4", 40 lbs overweight, and goal weight for me is 145 (just enough for "healthy" BMI. I've been under 130 ~10 years ago, but was unanimously told I was looking sickly- ribs & all... It was also nearly impossible to maintain at that weight for me. However, on…
  • Btw - 5'7" at 185 is BMI of ~29, which isn't considered obese. I only know because I am actually obese with a BMI of 32... Keep working out! Use a measuring tape as another measure of success! Good luck and keep up the great work! Make sure you're tracking accurately... Maybe play with adjusting macros... :)
  • Agree w/ real eggs... Unless you're concerned about dietary cholesterol...
  • I find that a "cheat" meal and especially day throws me off my game- it turns into a cheat weekend or week... Yikes - then it gets hard for me to get back on track. That's just me, though- everyone is different... Instead, I try to work in foods that taste really good, but still fit into my calorie requirements for the…
  • Maybe try bulking up your eggs w/ veggies tomorrow (in addition to the ham) - helps me! Good luck & have a little snack or some tea! :)
  • Take your measurements! Sometimes you lose inches, even if scale is stagnant... Keep up the great work!
  • Um... No matter how you slice it, it is still a diet. The first definition of diet is: the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community which we eat. The second definition is: a special course of food to which one restricts oneself either to lose weight or for medical reasons. If you are counting calories and creating…

  • Maybe try some strength training on "off" days... If you don't belong to a gym or have any weights at home, you can always use bodyweight – do push-ups, squats, crunches, etc. Good luck & congrats on being so close to your goal!
  • Eggs w/lots of sautéed veggies (spinach or mushrooms or peppers or whatever) and a bit of reduced fat cheese. Black coffee...
  • Omg! It is Tuesday!!! Ha ha - that much closer to Friday! :)
  • Since you're asking, I would vote no on a Monday night… Save it for the weekend! Get in some extra workouts during the week so that you earned a drink or two on the weekend! Good luck!
  • I do home workouts, too - body weight exercises can be effective, too - push-ups, squats, crunches, even dancing (particularly when no one else is home!) Living in a cooler (sometimes very inhospitable) climate definitely poses a challenge! Re: your food intake, it is hard to know whether you are getting enough based on…
  • Ghirardelli sea salt soirée- 1 sq. is 50 calories of heaven!!! Takes care of sweet & salty & chocolate all at once - eat it slowly and savor the yum!!! Good luck! :)
  • Great to hear, keep it up! I would also recommend a tape measure, so you have more than one measure of how your loss is going. Sometimes weight loss will slow down, but the inches are still coming off…
  • I was doing W.W. when I bf my son and made sure to have enough calories, including watching nutrition- the weight absolutely melted off! I had gained 40+ lbs and was very slightly overweight to begin with- ended up back to pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months. Especially as baby gets bigger 3-6 mo, their consumption helps you…
  • I'm on 1200 & feel satisfied. I'm 44, 5'4" and am ~ 40 lbs over my goal of 145. My diet consists of lots of veggies and healthy fats & protein. Eggs w/veggies and low fat cheese holds me over until lunch, when I usually have some low fat Greek yogurt & a banana- dinner is a nice big fresh salad w/ low fat dressing (love…
  • I totally understand the impatience. Unfortunately, I've been a yo-yo dieter for many years, and have gained and lost 40 or so pounds (again and again). It's getting harder and harder each time I "decide" to lose it, and now, in my mid-40's I'm trying to put an end to the cycle. So, when I first get back to tracking or…
