Scrambled eggs (2) with spinach, tomatoes, garlic, olive, and feta- my fave breakfast combo (except bacon - bacon would be even better) - and black coffee, lots of it!

Which part? I read the article.

Physical activity “does not promote weight loss”? Pure rubbish. I agree that it's ineffective to solely rely on exercise to lose weight- you must eat at a deficit- but exercise does help to create or increase a deficit... And more muscle mass burns more calories... In my experience, it's more difficult to lose weight…

Though, you're at a healthy weight...
-
I'd say save them for a hungry day (like saving money for a "rainy day")...
-
Lots of walking & don't splurge at every meal! Have lots of fun! :)
-
Water weight- don't worry! :)
-
I'd say, if you have the time and energy and your milk supply is good, and you enjoy Zumba, then go for it! :)

I don't eat when I'm not hungry, either. I'm eating around 1200 very healthy (veggies and protein mostly), and exercising and am also not hungry most days. Sometimes I struggle to get to 1000, other times I'm hungrier and eat closer to 1500. I have a lot more energy now than before, when I was gaining, eating more, and not…

Yes, pay closer attention to calories in... But, by all means, keep up the great work with all your activity- it will help you get healthier and more trim.

Are you logging accurately (weighing solids, measuring liquids)?
-
It *may* make you feel wonderful- it may not... It's not for everyone (including me) - try it and see if it works well for you!
-
Agree w/other posters who eat them back if hungry; if not, save them for when you are hungry! Not all days will be the same...

After first 10, got a new haircut, new sneakers; after next 10 I think I'll need a new pair of jeans... Next 10, we'll see! It's not necessarily a motivator for me, more like a little pat on the back... It doesn't compare to the reward of how great I'm feeling, though.
-
Can't even believe I'm dignifying this with a response... But - seriously, you're mistaken. While there are some posters that fit this description, I'd certainly not say "most" - you're way off, and rude, to boot...
-
See if they'll give you some free time w/ a trainer as an intro... You really want to know what you're doing to maximize your time and efforts & not hurt yourself! You didn't mention calories, but I'd assume you're also tracking food & eating at a deficit... Good luck!

About 15 lbs gained this fall-winter... :( Then joined MFP 30 days ago & have lost 8 of it already :) ~35 more to go... And preparing to keep it off this time!!!

5'4" gw is 145 - top of bmi healthy range! I look and feel my best at around that number; any less is so hard for me to maintain, and my immune system seems to go way downhill- I take it as a message from my body...

Yes, I should have clarified that... Tea isn't magic; but rum is- so, tea only becomes "kinda magic" when it's a vehicle for rum... :)
-
You lost me at "more restrictive than Paleo" - I ate "Paleo" for a month, and I nearly killed innocent people. No thanks!
-
Mm - yeah - tea is great - black, green, herbal, or whatever. Sometimes I add lemon, even a little honey if I have a sore throat- ooh, and some rum, too, if I'm stuffed up. But, no, it's not magic...

I'm at 1200. 44yo, 5'3", with ~40 lbs to lose. It is enough for me... I eat very nutrient-dense foods, generally. Have lost 7lbs in the past 30 days.
-
Wow... That's the dumbest thing (published, that is) I've read in a long time...
-
Eggs w/veggies

Find a new route!
-
Personally, when I'm able to have some flexibility with meal timing, then I eat when I'm hungry... Though I'm sure it doesn't actually matter when you eat, just what+how much...
-
I eat eggs every day w/a good amount of some veggies (favorites are spinach, mushrooms, peppers, broccoli) and a little cheese. Delicious and holds me over well until a late lunch...
-
1 part white wine vinegar 2 parts evoo Dijon mustard (to taste) Salt & pepper

Yes- it's soooo easy to count calories now & it works & it's free!!! I counted calories back in the 80's the old fashioned way- with a calorie reference book and a notebook! MFP makes it so simple, and therefore sustainable... Good luck on your journey!

Is there a reason why you can't take a year to take care of yourself & your health before trying for #2?
