Try all the different grains. The common ones we use are the different quinoas (white, black, red), amaranth, bulgar, millet, wheat berries (usually in a salad), buckwheat, kamut....and there are many more. We also eat cous cous (the small and large) and make polenta.

I weigh at the same time every day as long as I am at home...it is always entered in MFP. I don't really worry about daily fluctuations.

Had to buy new jeans again at the end of last week. This time size 32 slim fit (Buffalo, Guess) with a current weight of 202ish. Was a relaxed fit 40 with a weight of 250ish in November.

The only time I'd steam chicken is within another dish such as sticky rice in lotus leaf or a dumpling where you are steaming the package. Otherwise never. I'll pan fry chicken (thighs) in a non stick pan so no oil is needed and you get a nice browning. Otherwise grill...

As I have been losing weight (now over 50lbs) I find that I am eating meat far, far more often. Definitely eat eggs for breakfast, but now often chicken thighs with a salad or grain for lunch and often beef, chicken, pork or fish for dinner.

I don't use it in cooking. I just love to have jackfruit as a fruit.

Milk intolerance tends to be more casein than lactose...and it is everywhere. Very problematic for those who have severe cow milk protein intolerence (my genetic lineage)....sausages, hot dogs, veggie cheese, chips...you name it.
