I start from my back door and just run the sidewalks and streets around here. I try to go the same route for each day of the week, then when a new week starts, I'll change it up and run down a new street and a new route. Keeps me from going in a circle, lol.

I just finished slaying week 4! Nervous about next week, but am excited, too. Getting better and stronger with my endurance and mental control. Mind over matter! I think my body's catching up to me, though. Am about to go out and pick up a foam roller for my poor legs!

Rationally, or irrationally (for you to decide, haha) I get mad about these things: * When my husband stacks a plate in the sink and it still has food on it! * People that chew with their mouths open * People that drive by my house blaring their horrible music at ANY time of day * Thistles and general weeds growing in my…

I've been on MFP for a month now, and log every day. I'd love to have some more cheery folks to share in the positive success that we can achieve!

Also, Evol brand bowls and burritos are an excellent microwave-able meal, too!

Sara Lee honey wheat bread, nitrate free turkey breast, avocado (mash it up to use instead of mayo), baby spinach, and tomato. Mmmm healthy sandwiches! Pair it with some PopChips or cottage cheese with fruit, and voila! A meal. :-)

I started c25k this week, and even though I've always secretly loathed running, I'm starting to find myself looking forward to it! :-)

It doesn't always fall off where you want it to, is how I've heard. I've still got a long way to go on my journey, but I'm looking forward to buying new pants in a smaller size! Good luck with your journey!

THIS. That's me, too.

Don't worry about impressing anyone else - your workout is for you. If you have a worry about people maybe making fun of you, just shrug it off - you keep working out, you're going to look fabulous, and they're going to be left feeling jealous of you. Try to learn not to give a crap what others think of you; it truly only…

Just finished W1D1 here! So glad that I downloaded a free app that lets me know what to do when. I'd have been miserable otherwise, lol.

Thanks for the suggestions - just looking for something that's not goofy or gimmicky... I've seen sooo many that I just think "if you can tell me I can do it, but not tell me proper form, then it's a waste of time on fake encouragement"! Lol I want to move with purpose, and not feel like I'm just wiggling all over the…

The rest of my reply got cut off... Boo. But thanks to all who replied to the thread here.

Yes, the Jillian Michaels is new.
-
Oh, also forgot to mention - I have my goals set as 45% carbs, 30% protein, and 25% fat.

I've calculated my TDEE and my BMR, and have my calorie total for a 400 calorie deficit. It's probably going to be harder for me to start with, because I'm relatively short - 5'5". I log everything religiously, every drink, every bit of food. I normally come in within 100 calories under my calorie goal each day, but I do…

The problem is simply that of people with thin skin - those who get offended at the slightest thing. Oh no, you're vegan? You're Jewish? You're (insert hot button topic here)? We all consume calories, all from different sources. Teaching them different healthy caloric intake foods, no matter what the limitations. There is…

So, you think that giving young adults the correct information on diet and exercise would make them abuse the truth? Well, I'm afraid the truth is what it is, and what you do with that truth is more influenced by media and parental influences. I very much doubt the bulk of teenagers would abuse this information. Especially…

That calculator is the single best thing that I've seen posted in here! That is going to help me out so much! I knew about TDEE, but goodness, that just nails it down for you! So helpful, thank you!

Hey now, don't crush my dreams of gaining muscle, lol. I said I was trying to be positive. :-)
-
AMEN.

My absolute favorite is Yogi brand Egyptian Licorice tea. You don't even need to add sugar or honey to it - it's naturally sweet! It's so good! (I think I'm going to go make a cup right now, actually! Lol)
-
I've been doing Ripped in 30... I wonder if they are similar, lol. :-) I love Jillian Michaels. Good luck to you all!

I'm of similar height and weight goals... 5'5" and my initial goal is to lose 40lbs. Been using MFP for almost two weeks, and it's a godsend! I never realized how much I was eating, and most all of it was carbs. I haven't lost any yet, actually put two pounds on. But, I'm being positive about it, and am pretty sure it's…

1200 is a preset calorie intake value set by MFP. If you want to fuel all the muscle to burn that fat off, you probably should aim for at least 1600 a day... But I'm newer to this, too, but have read a LOT of opposing information on weight loss. Just do your research, and do what you think will work for you! There is no…

Hello and welcome! I'm a fifth day newbie, but I'm already in love with MFP. Hope you find it as helpful as I do! Add me if you want to.
-
There's my fault... Lol I'm trying to accomplish this in the app. *slaps forehead* lol
-
Was wondering, is there any way to print out the schedule shown for April's challenge?
-
Hello, all! I'm new here, but count me in!

Sometimes it's hard to really grasp what I'm eating, day to day. With this, it is super easy (so far) to see it! Hopefully with Jillian Michaels kicking my butt in DVD form, it will help me out. Thanks for the replies, and the encouragement! My biggest obstacle will probably be my own patience in seeing changes in my shape.
