I find that it's mostly the seedy part that gets mushy so I scoop them out before roasting, grilling, or whatever.

ha! I have some in my desk. 28 almonds is a serving for 160 calories. I ate 14 because I was hungry but didn't want to eat a full serving. Still hungry. I ate 2 more because, 28 rounds off to 30. Still hungry. Trying to resist the other half serving and wait til my lunch break, but still hungry.

I make smoothie packets for the freezer and make one just about every day. I throw a couple handfuls of greens (spinach and/or kale), a cup and a 1/2 or so of berries, and half a banana in a freezer bag. Then I take a packet out in the morning add almond milk and blend. Believe it or not, the first pair of running shoes I bought were Champions from Target. That must've been in about 2008. Last year I bough a pair of Asics that are good, but until then, I hadn't found a better pair than those cheap Champions. I loved them.

So let me get this right....You mutilated the snack cake, threw away the outer portion, and only ate the filling? Kudos! I either would have eaten the whole thing from the beginning or searched the trash can for clean parts of the mutiliated cake later! :)

The last few times I've gone to a Chinese place, I've asked for chicken breast with a ton of vegetables and they didn't even blink. It wasn't on the menu but the seemed to know exactly what I wanted. One place had brown rice which made it even better. The other served steamed white rice.

Greek yogurt. And believe me, I've tried several and tried several ways to fix it up. It want to like it, I really do. And green dirty dirt (kale). lol Can't even stand it in place of spinach in my smoothies. Bleh. I want to like it too. We have the same issues. I like to grill chicken ahead of time and throw it in a salad or even a pasta salad. Sometimes we eat scrambled eggs with lots of veggies on those nights. I always get the grilled chicken sandwich, hold the dressing, bacon, and bun. I should have them hold the swiss cheese, but I love it. I'd rather they hold the chicken. lol Then I get broccoli on the side. It's delicious.

I eat a spinach, strawberry, and blueberry salad often for lunch. If I have one, I cut up half an avacado in it. With that, I don't even need dressing.

Jillian scares the bejeebers out of me. !!! I went my whole life being overweight and still maintaining a small waist until I hit 40. Now I look in the mirror and all I can see is the spare tire! It's blew up overnight too! blah.

My son went through a banana phase when he was 3. He ate 7 one day at my mom's before she ran out.. He'll eat one every now and then but isn't in love with them now (he's 14). He's perfectly healthy and giving him what he wanted didn't turn him into a delinquent or anything like that.

It's almost apple season. I can hardly eat them in the off season because they have no flavor. I'm not that big of an apple fan anyway but I can enjoy them a bit in the fall.
