  • Some people need a cheat day to keep them on track. In the beginning I had to be all or nothing. Now I am able to factor in treats into my diet but still, sometimes a treat sends me into beast mode and I just eat and eat and eat...
  • I actually lost the bulk of my weight only dieting 5 days a week and partying on the weekends. When you are morbidly obese, a hiccup on the weekend will not ruin your diet. There are actually studies that say people who exercise only or exercise and diet, gain weight, maintain or very slowly lose compared to diet only…
  • I think its probably to do with how its been processed. The more processed something is, the easier to digest and doesn't keep you as full longer. It might also be that a boiled egg keeps its moisture. Also, with the veggies, sometimes if they are overcooked they break down too quick and don't 'fill' you.
  • It doesn't sound right. Maybe she had you confused with someone else?
  • In my experience how your skin reacts is the luck of the draw. You have to think of it this way, which would I rather look: fat in a great dress or fit in a great dress. Loose skin is easy to hide but fat is not. When I started loosing weight my skin was already ruined with many stretch marks. While I might not look the…
  • Here is a couple of mine: - Loose skin is much easier to conceal than a fat belly/*kitten*. - Bad food = smelly as poops. In fact, my tummy gets very upset if I eat bad food a couple of days in a row. Hello gas. I never realised before I ate healthy that there was even something wrong with me. - People will not recognise…
  • I have been maintaining for a year and a half. I have been trying to loose the last 5kg during this time but generally staying around the same weight. I found the key to maintenance is exercise and regular weigh ins. The key to weight loss is diet. I exercise regularly and try to keep within 1200-1500cal most days. I am…
  • I found setting goals and working towards them the best. Have weekly and monthly goals. It seems so much easier to loose 5kg/10pounds than 50kg/100pounds. Recognise you will have ups and downs but if you keep at it it will eventually work. I personally found making a vision board worked wonders for me. I am slowly ticking…
  • I'd be interested in this too. I was watching a show one night and the girl was whinging that it was so hard to sit there and watch her family eat take away and how she wanted to eat what they were eating. My initial though was 'please, if you only ate what they ate you wouldn't be so much fatter'. But thinking about this,…

  • I agree that muffin tops are a factor of the clothes you wear. A friend of mine works in a jeans shop and she said everyone gets muffin tops regardless of size if the clothes don't fit right. Regarding targeting areas, when you diet you cannot control where the fat comes/goes from. It depends on your body type/genetics.…
