  • These are the books that have helped me the most: I have not read this one, but I have heard good things about it:
  • I am not a huge fan of milk. So, I buy 1%. DH prefers 2%, I prefer skim, so we meet in the middle. Now.....if we are talking about cheese....I am full fat all the way.
  • Mine is closed and I only share with my husband (so he can copy meals we eat together based on my recipes). I don't really think it is anyone's business what I choose to eat to lose weight. I am doing this for me and only me, so I don't feel the desire to share my daily intake with others. Also, I never really look at any…
  • I weigh on the first of the month every month. I tried daily and weekly and there were too many fluctuations and it drove me crazy. So, once a month works for me.
  • I soooooo agree with this. I probably take 4-5 hot bubble baths a week.
  • Hmmm..... Favorite Meal - Homemade Pizza. We have it every Friday or Saturday night, without fail. We never get sick of it. Favorite Snack - At the moment, Luna Protein Bars. I also really like pairing sharp cheddar cheese and Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds. Favorite Indulgence - Gigi's Cupcakes. My fave is the Chocolate…
  • I recommend this group..... http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3070-p-c-o-sis I am a fellow cyster and have found that 40% carbs/30% fat/30% protein works for me and keeps my insulin resistance in check. I still eat pasta, bread, potatoes, etc. I just don't eat them with every meal. As far as eating carbs pre or…
  • This is something I have been looking into starting. I am a perpetual list maker and I think this would be a great way to keep my on-going lists (like house projects, daily habits, seasonal bucket lists, etc.) organized. The thing that has held me back is that I am super creative, but not very artistic, so I am afraid the…
  • I have Lodge, Staub and Le Creuset skillets, dutch ovens and grill pans. I have not found too many differences between them and have found that as long as you take good care of the pan, the brand doesn't matter too much.
  • Not knowing any better, I would have never believed this was the same person. Your eyes are so much more open and bright now! Awesome job!
  • The thing that helps me lose with protein shakes, is that I can make one for under 300 calories (I like to add stuff in), but it can keep me full for hours and hours. I can drink one at 9 AM and not want to eat until 2 or 3 PM. So, it gives me more calories to play with during my day for a bigger dinner or to fit in a good…
  • I get the flapjack on the go and the minute muffins for a quick easy breakfast in the mornings. I have liked them all with the exception of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Flapjack. That was not a good one.
  • Agree with this. It is one day in the grand scheme of things, so enjoy the time with your family. And if that means splitting a funnel cake with the group, so be it. Another plan would be to eat right before going and not eating fair food, but what is the fun in that?
  • This. I am in a similar boat, but not pregnant. (Starting IVF in January.) I do know that my RE was very specific about how many calories I should eat and that once I become pregnant, we will need to adjust based on trimester. Your best bet is to discuss with your OB. I would not trust strangers on the internet with this…
  • Stouffers Mac and Cheese is my go to for when I really want some yummy cheesy goodness in a pre-determined portion (even at the 600 calories :D) . I have never tried any of the others. I may have to check them out next time I am at the store.
  • I used to eat tilapia before I really paid attention to my food, but after doing some reading, had a harder time eating it. I have switched to halibut, pacific cod or haddock, but I am careful about checking the package/source. We are not big fish eaters (DH doesn't like seafood), so I am willing to spend a little more for…

  • If I am going to have a bar for breakfast, it is usually a Luna Protein Bar. Another quick easy breakfast I like is a protein shake with espresso powder or some kind of mix in. When I have more time, I may have eggs with bacon and roasted potatoes/veggies (or toast).
  • I like Trutein protein powders. What I like even more, is if you go to their website, you can get sample packets. So, you can basically try them before you buy a huge tub. https://www.bodynutrition.com/samples/
  • I have seen these at Meijer stores. I have picked them up and put them back during each grocery trip for about 3 weeks. So, I have not tried them. I am kinda scared to, because PB and Chocolate is the combo of the angels.
  • FML.....not sure if I should be excited or scared..........LOL
  • Homeland House of Cards Shameless (you may want to be careful with this one though if you are in public) Gilmore Girls Sons of Anarchy Orange is the New Black (see note about Shameless) The Office Friends The Crown 13 Reasons Why (kinda teen ansgty, but good) Parenthood The Walking Dead (haven't watched myself, but DH lost…
  • Almond Milk, espresso powder, sugar free pudding powder, PB2, frozen fruit, cookie butter, pumpkin puree, spices (like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) or flavorings/extracts (like peppermint, vanilla, maple, etc.), nuts, oats, etc. Basically, anything that sounds good at the time. I used to buy different flavors of protein powder,…
  • We are serious pizza lovers in my house. So, I knew when I decided to get serious about my weight and health, that was one area that I needed to work on. My solution was to find a really good recipe to make my own. Now, I make my own crust and sauce (which is insanely easy). I used the recipe builder to calculate the…
  • Agreed!!! This is a win-win for consumers. I may have to check out the Kroger brand. I typically shop at Meijer, but I could swing by a Kroger (I have two within 5 miles of me) to check these out.
  • Today is a very dirty day for me. McDonalds for breakfast, no lunch and then homemade pizza (not bad) for dinner and then some Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Core for dessert. I am not even going to pretend that I am tracking today. Back on it tomorrow.
  • Something about it being in the sun and getting warm enough for bacteria to grow, but not hot enough to kill said bacteria. That's about all I got, because I don't really pay attention to it. :D
  • Therapy.......All. The. Therapy.
  • I have tried them all, but now I will only buy the peanut butter cup and sea salt caramel. Those are the only flavors I can justify the calories for. (I am a whole pint in one sitting halo top eater.) I am holding out hope for a butter pecan or maple flavor though. That would be awesome.
  • Kodiak brand pancakes in a cup.
