Love that measurement idea! I always have a difficult time doing it myself and staying accurate!

Valid points! We would probably make it a habit. Like every other Tuesday or something like that. Just a quick hop on the scale and move on with our day (maybe with some compliments thrown in there <3 )

You could always break your pelvis in half and ask the doctor to reset it at a wider stance.

As a person that abused laxatives/enemas and suffered the consequences of that abuse by having to have a seton placed to straighten out fistulas, then a second surgery to cut open the fistulas for healing (yes, the incision is left wide open, no stitches).......I STRONGLY suggest that if anyone is at all concerned about…

Agree with @lemurcat12 and @janejellyroll (even though....I have been known to eat plain pasta with just a small sprinkling of good parm-reg every once in a while :D )

Oh Yes - A nice salty soft pretzel is hard to beat. I like mine plain, no fancy cheese or dips. Just a plain soft pretzel with butter and salt.

I went to Jungle Jim's over the weekend and sampled all kinds of tasty breads. But, the one I tried that was different and new was a Gata bread (an Armenian sweet bread). It was so yummy, like a dessert. It would be amazing in a French toast casserole. Other yummy finds: Jalapeno Cheddar Pretzel Bread and Pepperoni Pretzel…

I would probably go with white chocolate for the cookie butter ones. ETA - Or cinnamon chips!!!

This was pretty much my experience as well. I had mine done 14 years ago and even through a 50 pound weight gain, I only went up one cup size. My issue and reason for my reduction was back issues because I had a significant amount of breast tissue/volume. When my surgeon did my first consult he said my breasts were "like…

My personal preference is 10 minutes of cardio for a warm up to get my heart rate going, then my lifting routine, followed by about 20 minutes of more cardio. It ends up being about an hour in total (30 mins cardio and 30 minutes lifting). I also like to finish with some deep stretching. I have just found that stretching…

I am in charge of dessert too and my in laws (our Thanksgiving people this year) don't like most pie. So, I am making Maple Sugar Cookies and a Cookie Butter Bundt Cake.

My husband lost about 65 pounds while he was traveling every other week for work and eating out for pretty much every meal. So, he had to learn pretty quick how to work out a meal in a restaurant. What he found was that it was easiest to order from the menu items that were easily "countable". In other words, minimal prep…

YES!!!! Every time I walk into the pool area, as I go through the locker room doors, I always say a little prayer that a lane is free and clear. Luckily, for me, my gym is not popular with swimmers, so there are many times I am the only one in the pool. And It. Is. Glorious. I would say that is my inspirational input here.…

I am usually thinking, something along the lines of....."15 more minutes and I can have X for dessert later". Or I am making lists in my head of to dos, grocery lists, meal plans, etc. My head is the most clear when I am working out, so that is usually when I do my best thinking/remembering.

Nope, I am looking forward to it! This year, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day are going to be *free* days for me. No logging, no worrying, just enjoying the days and eating what I want. I may workout a little extra that week or skip breakfast those days, but I am not holding myself to any specific "rules"…

I switched to La Croix when I gave up my coke habit. I can't do Diet Coke or Coke Zero, so La Croix gets me the bubbles. I really like the Lemon and Lime. I also like their Curate flavors, specifically the Cherry-Lime and Strawberry-Pineapple. FWIW, I also really like Schweppe's Black Cherry flavor.

I am here for the pizza memes. Those are my fave

I have two of these. These are the ones I have. They are both Taylor "Biggest Loser" scales. I have had the gray one for over 5 years and the white one for about two years. I have never had issues, aside from changing batteries. They have been pretty used and abused (both DH and I weigh everything). I would recommend them.…

Over time, I have found that I have to log everything. (the good, bad and less than awesome) That way the data is there from weeks ago and it can help me pinpoint what I need to adjust, change, etc. to meet my goals. I was finding that I was losing slowly and I went back to try and determine what was going wrong. When I…

Cereal for me is all about taste. My personal faves are: - Peanut Butter Crunch (dry or in milk) - Frosted Flakes (in milk only) - Cinnamon Toast Crunch (dry only) - Fruit Loops (dry only) - Honey Nut Cheerios (in milk only) If I am looking for nutrition or macro balance, I prefer to not eat cereal as a meal. But, it is a…

I have worked in the food service industry, so I generally always tip well for good service. I can probably count on one hand the times I have tipped less than 15%. When tipping, I generally do around 15-20% and then round to the nearest dollar. So, if with tip my total is $24.47, I round to $25.00. But, honestly, the main…

Solution = losing weight I am a HUGE Disney fan, I can fit on all their rides, but there have been times where it has been uncomfortable (especially when riding with my husband who is broad shouldered). From what I understand the new Flight of Passage ride at Animal Kingdom has a seat at the entrance (with a cast member to…

Yikes....I have only been lurking this thread. But....posting a photo like that (even if he has it on his FB page) is kinda awful. I can respect that everyone has their own opinions about BF, it is a personal choice with many caveats. However, to blast a member of your family to internet strangers and then add a face to…

My idea of meal prep goes like this: Wednesday - Planning day. I plan out my following week. Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners and Snacks. Thursday - Grocery List. I organize my grocery list based on my plan, figure out what I need vs. what I already have, check my coupons/ad and make my list. Friday - Grocery Shop Sunday -…

Asking a question on the interwebs requires some thick skin and preparedness to maybe hear things you don't like. Sometimes you get answers you don't like to hear and sometimes those answers are worth considering. . Glad you got your answer OP, but something seems to have struck a nerve over a pretty harmless comment. That…

Just speaking from my experience....I have PCOS and I am insulin resistant, so carbs matter for me. I have to be careful with them and I have to be a little more meticulous with my macros. However, my endocrinologist did tell me that carbs are still important for sustaining energy levels and she was very direct in her…

These are the books that have helped me the most: I have not read this one, but I have heard good things about it:
