Thank you for the tip! I was looking at the kindle versions, but wondered if the hard copies would be better so I can highlight, etc. Good to know!

For me, the key was starting with something I love. I bought a bike. That worked for a while, but deep down, what I really wanted to do was swim. I was nervous and didn't have the confidence to join a gym for access. I didn't have access to a pool year round, so I finally bit the bullet and joined a gym. It was like an…

Agree with this. After I lift, I usually don't have much of an appetite.

Yes, the more violent, the more rigorous the activity. Also, bonus steps if you stumble before you puke.

I got a kick out of this. It reminded me of the Friends episode where Phoebe tried to show Joey there is such a thing as a selfless good deed.

I don't do cheat meals. But, there are meals I bank calories for like pizza (eaten every Saturday), alcohol and hamburgers/french fries......or anything from this website: http://www.dessertfortwo.com/ That website is my go to for weekend desserts!

I love my TV and could easily list a bajillion shows, but my fave binge shows are below: Downton Abbey (still mourning the finale) Orange Is The New Black (re-watching the prior seasons in anticipation of the 6/9 premiere!) House of Cards Homeland This is Us The Crown Victoria The Handmaid's Tale Getting ready to start…

I second this. Also, OP, I won't give you my specific tips or anything because I believe everyone has to find their own way and what works for them as an individual, which can vary greatly person to person. But, one thing I did find helpful was seeing a therapist. I had gained a significant amount of weight (over 100…

This is pretty much the only way I can do any gym cardio work (besides swimming of course). I like to get outside when I can, but when inside, tv is the only thing that keeps me from wanting to sacrifice myself to the treadmill belt.

IKR!? I just tried Sea Salt Caramel last night. It quickly made my top three. Of all the flavors I have tried, this is my current ranking (I would probably not buy Birthday Cake, Lemon Cake, Chocolate or Chocolate Almond Crunch again): 1. Peanut Butter Cup (4 eva!) 2. Sea Salt Caramel 3. Mint Chip 4. Oatmeal Cookie

Cake. In my world, it is not much different than a donut or muffin.

Yes - my weekly exercise calories come in around 2800 on average. I have MFP set to lose 1 pound a week. For the most part, I don't feel the need to really dip into my exercise cals on average, but this particular weekend is becoming a perfect storm of parties and plans. So, I will have to probably dip into my exercise…

Just out of curiosity, per your diary, your MFP goal is actually 1610 per day (not including exercise), so where did you come up with the 1000-1200 calorie goal? Are you trying to add even more of a deficit? If you went through the setup with MFP and entered your stats correctly (height, weight, activity level, etc.), I…

I never weigh during that time. I usually go a little easy with the exercise on my heavier days (1-2 days). I like to use that as a bit of an exercise break since I am usually pretty tired and crampy anyways. I also let myself have a few extra calories (like 300-400). I know when it is coming, so I try to bank up calories…

Shoot.....nothing to be embarrassed about! You do you. If it works for you, then keep going!

I don't take anything personal, but I do feel it is important to get a full range of information out there so that newer people can find their OWN way. Stating absolutes is never a good idea, here or elsewhere.

I think my longest stretch was about 14 hours and I was sleeping for about 10 of those.
