As long as it fits in my schedule, I don't care what time it is! I can exercise at 6am, 4pm, or 11pm and it doesn't really make much of a difference. Though if I exercise right before making dinner I can eat more and not worry about going over my limit.

You know how on all those diet pill commercials the fine print says "results not typical?" There is none of that on this site! As long as you are honest with your logging (the good AND the bad!) you will see results. Eat at a deficit, WEIGH YOUR FOOD, and keep going! As long as you stay motivated, you will reach your goals.

I managed to go out to lunch with friends, an Easter party with the whole extended family, and egg hunts with my kids, and I'm STILL within my calorie goal today. I may have had cake for dinner, but I'm not starving and I proved to myself that I have more self control than I thought. It's a victory in my book!

This right here is it! I have heard (a looooong time ago) that doing pushups makes your arms look more toned for a short while after. I don't know if it's true, but maybe that carries over if you do some squats and planks.

Instead of looking at the big picture, set goals in small increments. Make your first goal simply to lose 5-10lbs. Once you reach that goal, do something to celebrate and then set another. That way you aren't looking at a big daunting number that seems so far away.
