If it's something that I make or if the ingredients are fairly obvious, then I will deconstruct it and log by ingredient. For a stew or when I'm clueless on the ingredients, I'll pick an entry from the database and maybe log twice the amount of what I actually ate. For instance, if I only have a cup of stew, I would put in…

Thanks for posting the excel file. I've been using trendweight but I like the calorie information on your spreadsheet. Comes in handy.

Those vanity pounds are always difficult to shed because weight fluctuates from day to day because of water retention. I can gain 5 pounds over the weekend and by Thursday, I've lost it all again without really doing any drastic changes. Then there's that time of the month. I am very close to my goal weight (about 5 more…

I haven't tried shredded cabbage but shredded cauliflower is good. I use it as a fried rice substitute.

Great post! We really do need a "like" button. I feel the same way with regards to being awkward and not necessarily knowing the right "moves". That's why I prefer to work out at home. I can go at my own pace.

I've been eating these all my life. I didn't realize that they're now getting a bit mainstream. Try it with strips of cucumber, carrots, and similar veggies with smoked salmon, crab, or even teriyaki chicken.

Anyone feel free to add me as well. https://www.fitbit.com/user/3FJVMG

That's what I do. The food logging part of Fitbit is confusing to me so I only log foods via MFP and use Fitbit to just keep track of how much I've walked.

If you're using the web version, just click on the paper icon and then drag/drop the image into the box. If you're using the app, there's a camera icon that you have to click on.

These are the kind I get headless, skinless, boneless.

Got back into cycling 6 months ago after being away since college. I'm not riding as much as I'd like to because I've incorporated p90x into my workout schedule. On weekends, I try to ride around 25 miles per day and my goal is to go just a bit faster (on the flats) and just a bit further on the hills.

I have the aria as well and I like it. It's been pretty consistent. Body fat measurement is a bit off compared to caliper measurements but at least it's consistent so I can use it for tracking purposes.

If you're not too keen on switching to brown rice, you can always do half white and half brown. I've been able to lose weight on white rice. You can also substitute quinoa for rice. I use quinoa for arroz caldo.

I'm 34 and I've already lost 16 lbs. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to lose another 5 lbs. Feel free to add me.

I'm half Filipino, half Japanese. Japanese food is fairly healthy but traditional Filipino food can be very fatty (pork adobo, lechon, etc.). I'll be making pansit tonight for dinner with lots of veggies and lean pork.

Instead of going out and buying a new bike, you could just change the tires to a less knobby one. You can get smoother tires meant for pavement riding. That'll help out a lot.

I started last week. This too is my second round with my first round being 2 years ago as well.

Very interesting. I'll have to give these a try this weekend. If they aren't the best chicken kebabs, I'll hold your personally responsible.

yikes. my neck hurts from having to tilt my head to read that. Here's a reader friendly version. ingredients 1 medium roma tomato, finely chopped (1/3 cup) 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion 1 tablespoon snipped fresh cilantro 1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper* 1 teaspoon lime juice 1/8 teaspoon salt…

There's no difference other than looks. For split- top bread, you run a knife lengthwise along the top before baking. Round top, you don't. That's the difference. This is round-top This is split-top

Tzatziki is a good alternative. It's a Greek dip that's basically yogurt, cucumber, garlic and dill. Delicious.

I was going to post the exact same thing. :dizzy: I don't normally go in to McD's but I was at one last week and saw the poster for Oreo McFlurry. That pic/poster is deceiving. I was thinking it was going to be a small cup but I got so much more than I was expecting. I only ate a quarter of it though.

Feel free to add me (that goes for anyone here) I'm 5'3" and currently 121 lbs. Starting weight was 136.

I've seen it anywhere from 45 to 91 calories per 100g raw. I personally would log it at 91 calories.

I've done p90x before and had pretty good results from it - losing fat and getting some muscle definition without getting bulky. That was about 2 years ago and I'm starting it again. P90x has 1 hour workouts so if you're looking for 30-minute workouts, you should be comparing p90x3 with Insanity Max 30. My understanding is…

Meh, I don't know. I probably would share with a family member, but other people, probably not.

If you have a smartphone and carry it with you all the time, then you can just download the fitbit app for free. It tracks your steps fairly accurately. I have the fitbit zip because my phone is usually in my purse. Like others above, it's kept me accountable in terms of getting off of my butt during the day and going out…

Depends how much oyster sauce you use and how much of the chicken and everything else that you put in. The basic recipe for Chinese brown sauce is essentially 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce and about 1/4 cup chicken broth. With a chicken breast or a skinless thigh, you're at about 375 calories per…
