Hi there! I also suffer with mental illnesses, anxiety and depression being two of them. If you'd like to talk, feel free to add me and message me. This goes for everyone else too!

Please add me :)

Feel free to add me. Will accept anyone! :)

Thanks everyone. Had a banana for breakfast this morning and it went straight through me and the cramps I had were the worst I've ever had. I've never had a problem with bananas before? It seems very hit or miss for me with all foods. Even salad goes through me most times. I wish this would end, definitely going to be…

Amazing! Keep going :)!

I'm gonna have to bring this up with my doctor. Kinda shocking I haven't been given any medication to control this?!
-
Add me! Looking to make some friends and find additional support :)

I can see a difference in your stomach, calves, shoulders and hips, definitely! Loads of respect for posting these, I could never gain the confidence to do it. Keep going :)

I cannot even tell you how similar your experiences are to mine. I have a suspected damaged bile duct too. I've also had very uncomfortable chest pains the last few weeks and how you've explained them is the same as mine! I regret having my gallbladder taken out so much, I can't have a meal in a restaurant without fearing…
-
That must be awful, I know how awful the pain is when one gets lodged somewhere. Thank you! I'm hoping they can work out what it is asap.
-
All 3 at the moment! Throwing up is more rare than the other two though.
-
You're right, I can't help but feel paranoid and intimidated in the gym though.
-
I think it is just the room but I also have attacks when it's humid or a certain temperature in my house. I don't take any medications other than a brown preventer pump and a blue reliever pump. I'm due to have an asthma check up soon so I'll bring it up then.

Or maybe it's because I'm recovering from an eating disorder. What exactly am I in denial about? Stop being so ignorant and act your age instead of picking on young girls.
-
whoops, have edited the post now and hopefully it will be ignored. Sorry!
-
Thank you :) you too!

This is exactly how I am. It's not so much a fear of the scales, it's more fear of the number for me (original post wasn't very clear as I wasn't too keen on admitting my ED on the internet). It wasn't so bad when I had my ED but now I'm recovering and I know I'm gaining more than losing it's terrifying. I wish people…

Thanks? It's people like you that make me wish I never bothered signing up to this website. :)
-
Thanks everyone for the recommendations!
-
Maybe try the kg method that I've just been told about? :)
-
Thank you honestly, I'll definitely try this! Now to find a scale that converts to kg haha.
-
This is a really good idea, thanks! I think changing the scale to kg will help as I'll be too nervous to convert it yet id still have a number to work with.
-
My doctor advised me to lose weight because I have other health conditions. I'm not using my past eating disorder as an excuse but I never want to go back down that road again, it all started with that number on the scale.
-
Thank you, I'll keep this in mind!
-
Maybe because not everyone is the same? The reason I'm terrified is because I suffered with bulimia and have only really started recovering from it, I'm anxious that it will trigger it off again. I didn't want to discuss it but seeing as I'm being accused of being in denial...
-
I do but I'd rather it be accurate than under or above.
-
Thank you for the replies everyone! I'll keep your advice in mind next time I'm asked to be weighed by a doctor or nurse :)
-
If only it was that easy? I'm not in denial, I know that it needs to be done. I know it's just a number but it's a big deal for someone who's overweight.
-
There are weekly yoga classes at the gym I go to which I have always been keen on trying! Even more of a reason to now ;) thank you @CharlieBeansmomTracey x

Thank you @CharlieBeansmomTracey, I've never thought of breathing exercises either. I may have to look into this!
