Using a food scale Being consistent Realistic and sustainable workouts

Doing what? cutting carbs or carbs are making you gain weight?
-
If it meets your nutritional needs, I guess it would be ok. Just curious, do you plan on having smoothies for breakfast and lunch once you reach your "goal" weight?

Along with your prayer you should educate yourself on how to lose weight and keeping it off in a sustainable way. You should read some of the stickies they have here to help you.

Food scale and this thread may help you: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/113609/relatively-light-people-trying-to-get-leaner/p1

I eat dinner usually around 8 pm every night, it hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.

Are you using a food scale at all? I have a co-worker who used the 21 day fix & their containers and from what I noticed she stuffed a lot of food in those containers. IMO using a food scale would be much better.

Has eating 1200 calories worked for you before? If not, maybe it's time to rethink your plan and maybe come up with a better, sustainable weight loss plan. You should read the stickies they have in this forum to educate yourself on sustainable weight loss.

Nothing really, I don't usually make a big deal about holidays tho.

You can if you want but weight loss is more about how MUCH you're eating. I don't eat low carb at all and I'm still able to lose weight at 45 years old. What helped me the most was the food scale and being consistent.

Tighten up your logging, if you're exercising and eating the exercise calories back try eating less of them. Try using a food scale to measure/weigh all food and drinks.

I have been on lots of different types of birth control my whole life and it didn't cause me to gain weight. There are lots of women on MFP who are on birth control and LOSE weight just fine.

Whatever kind of exercise you like doing for however long you like doing them. There is no "right" kind of exercise for diet.

Is this a packed lunch/food? If so, weigh it all in the morning before you pack your lunch bag. I carry my breakfast & lunch with me to work, every morning before putting in my lunch bag I weigh and log it all. It literally takes me 5 minutes.

Try taking a comfort walk.

Could be water weight from starting a new workout or your guesstimating your portions. Weight loss happens in the kitchen, you can't out-exercise a bad "diet".

I had the same issue with my husband. I wanted to lose the weight for myself not for him. Now that I've lost some weight, am smaller he's now saying he was wrong and he's liking what he's seeing. Honestly, for me, it didn't matter what he thought/thinks. I wasn't happy with my body and I have to live in this body so I…

iirc DEXA is more accurate but yeah, there isn't much out there that's 100% accurate.

I don't have that big of a deficit for that to work for me :s , trust me I tried.

She didn't mention having any of the problems you're referring to so you can't say if that is a problem for her. When you say you monitor everything you put in your mouth, are you using a food scale or are you eyeballing your portions?
-
Yes I've heard of it. For me personally it's not for me. I don't feel hungry every 3 hours, not even for a snack.

It all depends on you. I'm a daily weigher. I weigh myself every single day and log it into an app called happy scale. It helps me to see my fluctuations and also shows me the downward trend of my weight going down.

Helps with what?

Weigh yourself however much you want to. That said, if you decide to be a daily weigher and get upset every time the scale doesn't move or if it moves up it might not be the best for you.
