Request sent. My user name is the same as here. I'm currently training for a September half.

My half training plan begins tomorrow. Biggest tip I could give is find a plan you like and stick with it and log every workout.

Good news!! Timex has the Ironman One that has all of the items on your list plus some. However the reviews on Amazon are just so, so. If where to buy a new watch I would get the Polar V800. I already have the M400 and love it! However, the cycling and swimming functions are not up to par on it. It is strictly a running…

My first time doing this also. I travel quite a bit for work so a lot for my miles may be late night hotel treadmill runs!! I'm for 60

Hey, Yes the custom profiles will sync to MFP as what ever sport you did. I did a test and setup a tennis profile on my watch and did a short test workout. After syncing to Polar Flow it automatically synced to MFP as tennis.
-
You can custom design your intervals in Flow and the sync them to the M400. You can also create custom Sport profiles in Flow and sync them to the watch and tennis is one of the available sports. Flow and MFP does not talk to each other very well. everyone of my runs sync to MFP as 9 mph (6.5 min/mile) no matter how fast…

The strangest animal I have ran into was a very tame donkey on trail in Germany.

I had so many issues with Garmin Connect that went out and bought the Polar M400.

Add me, I'm always looking for more friends!!

My Garmin Connect user name is the same as here. Feel free to add me!

I'm pretty sure you don't have to use the Beat App. In the Polar Flow Moble app under settings/connection make sure My Fittness Pal is turned on and all workouts and steps will be transferred over.
-
Bethany, Thanks for the info. Request sent to you also I just realized that the M400 is not supported in PPT only in Flow. However, PPT does show all workouts I completed using the Beat App.

I just started checking out Polar Personal Trainer tonight. Still trying the figure it out. Polar Flow User name = Greg Henley

I have a M400 and would like some people to follow on Flow.

If your need (or just want) heart rate data you might check out the Garmin Forerunner 15. It's only costs a little more than the FR 10. It also tracks daily step and sleep data.

I'm in Sherwood.

I don't believe the H7 stores data. If I'm not mistaken it only transfers data via bluetooth. You can connect it to your Loop however, I don't think you will be able to see the calorie burn until you sync with Polar Flow.

I use "Indoor Other" on my M400 while working out and change it to "Cross Trainer" in Polar Flow and it does sync over to MFP correctly. Here is what was posted to my Profile this afternoon after my work out. GSH0824 burned 615 calories doing 67 minutes of Elliptical Trainer via Polar Has far as the running issue I still…

I haven't noticed any problems with GPS accuracy (no more than my old Garmin). Granted I have only been using it a couple of weeks.
-
I would recommend the Polar M400. The version that comes with the HRM cost about $220 on Amazon. It has GPS and Syncs with MFP flawlessly, and it also acts as an daily activity and sleep tracker. I recently swapped to it from Garmin 310xt and love it.
-
I second the Strava app. You can also track your Heart rate with Strava if you have a newer smart phone with Bluetooth Smart (iPhone 4s or Galaxy S3 or higher). You would just need a compatible HR monitor such as the Polar H-7 or Adidas MiCoach. Strava will then sink accurate calorie burn over to MFP.

My M400 does the same thing but it only for runs. If I log an elliptical workout then it transfers to MFP as elliptical. But, running logs 9 MPH every time. I have also noticed that I have sync with the Mobile app. My data will not transfer to MFP if I sync with the web app.
