  • PW: 147.5 CW: 147 TL: 62 (20 years ago) It should have been more since I hardly snacked at night this week. But I gained weight at the weekend that I had to re-lose. :# I've already had nachos today, so a regain is on the books... ;) My weekend are like, "I behaved all week. Now it's a food party!!"
  • @gidgetgoescrazy You've been describing my weather. I'm in the SW US.
  • I don't care how many calories that box of ice cream says. I just took 1/4 of a box of vanilla ice cream, and it fit into a 1 cup container. All they're selling is air these days. :/

  • Proof that a lot of weight loss depends on eating. I biked 82 miles last week, and walked 6.2 miles. My daily steps (I'm not on the team): M 17322 bike 13 T 16643 bike 13 W 18849 bike 13 T 17605 bike 13 F 15832 bike 12 Sat 16924 walk 6.2 bike 3 Sun 21321 bike 15 By Friday morning, I had lost only 1/2 a pound because I…
  • 100% agree. I can exercise hard all week but waste it all by overeating. Thank you for the truth. Many times it comes down to simple math, unless we have a medical condition or imbalance. My failure is small snacks like chocolate chips or sunflower seeds after I've eaten a meal. I grab and grab without thinking of the…
  • PW: 149.5 CW: 149 LTD: 60 (20 years ago) People are posting great losses! With those with slight gains, no worries! Stay on track. Get back on track. We know in the long run it works. @Terytha Wow! Fantastic transformation! Garmin had another 100k (62.1 miles) bike challenge this week, so I woke up earlier to get the miles…
  • @CanadianGiraffe Here's my story, and my intro for new July members. I grew up the chubby kid. I was 5'6" by the 3rd grade, so I was always in the back of class pictures with JL who was the tallest boy. In high school I was 165-185. I got down to 155-165 in college by only eating meals at the cafeteria. I maxed at 209 in…
  • I was able to tie my running shoes tighter today, and I didn't feel Achilles pain as I worked out & did errands. I hope this is a great sign. :)

  • @gidgetgoescrazy Yes, I've done those stretches. The plantar seems gone for now, so I'm trying to rest the Achilles. I'm not a high heel wearer, but I'm a runner. And yes, Morton's nueroma. Years ago I went into my favorite running store, explained the issue, and the owner put pads under my insoles. Instant relief! I can't…
  • @gidgetgoescrazy I too am sidelined with a combo of plantar fasciitis & Achilles tendon aggravation. I haven't been to a Dr about it, but the signs are obvious. I haven't been walking or running for a few weeks. I'm doing some "light" biking - about 6-12 miles depending on my time. I mostly feel better, but every once in a…
  • I ate 1 medium potato chip, but everything else was kosher. :) I'm off work tomorrow, so I hope to ride long so I can burn some food cals!
  • July goal #1: Eat what I planned for tomorrow. No extras, like those potato chips someone brought to work. Late night dinner without snacking has been hard. I've planned Ezekiel bread (orange) with a TJs cowboy veggie burger. Whew! I better do this! :#
  • @CM_73 & @happimess01 Welcome! :) Let's make new habits, get fit, & lose some lbs/kg!
  • @CanadianGiraffe I don't know if I said this last month, but your story so far is inspirational. Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad you've committed & had such success. You can get to your goal weight! May your July be awesome!
  • @jugar I like the idea of pairing up, especially if someone texts me about 8 p.m. saying, "Put the snacks down!!!" :D I've been taking it easier on exercise for the past 2 weeks to help my ankle, but I still feel it a little. I had a great workout last Friday with my friend at the gym for the 1st post-Covid time. I was…
  • PW: 150 CW: 147.5 But yesterday I was 147! I ate 1040 cals, so I was hoping for under 147. I'll try for 145 next Friday. :o
  • If I had been motivated last week, I could have reached 145 by today. Good thing I said something like "the week of my anniversary" which is next week. I got motivated this week, so I am celebrating 147 today! I hope to eat well tonight to have another good report tomorrow morning. I am celebrating with a small chocolate…
  • We had our first post-Covid non-home food yesterday! Thai! My husband had massaman curry and I had tom kai gai. It was so yummy. It was nice to be out at a restaurant. 😊 We saw our children & grandchildren for a bit. We ended the night at church for the first time since February or early March. It was a good day!
  • That doesn't sound exciting to me, but I bake with egg whites and applesauce instead of full eggs & oil and things always turn out nicely. Thank goodness, I don't bake often!
  • Yeah! Congratulations! :)
  • PW: 150.5 CW: 150 I walked 3 10ks last weekend & biked 102km during the week. [(3 x 6.2 miles) + 64 miles] And I ate ALL my exercise calories, mostly in the form of chocolate chips. 😔😕🙁 I think about June 18th in the morning then forget it in the evening.
  • Too true! The other thing is passing a mirror or window and wondering who that person is. :) For me, I found it hard to reconcile the outward with what I knew was true under the clothes... the hidden imperfections and consequences of weight loss. But we just have to accept even those for a healthier life in general. I wish…
  • Ugh. Totally blew my dinner meal plan, but it was good! Pita, hummus, tabbouleh, chicken, tortilla chips, & chocolate chips for dessert. 😲 😁 I wasn't thinking about June 18th. I'm still settling into this work schedule. Tomorrow should be chicken, veggies, avocado, & paprika. 😊
  • I did 3 10k walks last weekend and this weekend. My Achilles is still sore, but what is rest? It looks like my exercise is falling in place with my new schedule. Now if I can work everything else out... :)
  • @Gidgitgoescrazy Leg warmers! :D
  • SW for June: 153 CW: 150.5
  • I had a goofy thought this morning while biking. My anniversary is right after June 18th, so I thought perhaps I could get down to 145 sometime between June 18-27. If I keep to 1200 cals, it's possible. I was just at 148 not too long ago...
  • I forgot to say... I'm 46, and I've managed to stay under 165 for the past 18 years. Those years are probably split even between 130s, 140s or 150s. Even when I creep up, I think, "I still weigh less than I did in high school!" I'm the opposite of the people who grew up knowing what it was like to be thinner. For all of…
