I've never introduced myself because, well, this is the internet. I grew up the chubby kid. I was 5'6" by the 3rd grade, so I was always in the back of class pictures with JL who was the tallest boy. In high school I was 165-185. I got down to 155-165 in college by only eating meals at the cafeteria. I maxed at 209 in grad…

@jugar I thought I'm supposed to be Fridays.
-
@RaisedToRamble Wow! Great job! I look at veggie "meat" every once in a while for a different protein; but when I see the sodium or fat, I immediately put it back. I'm not paying for that. I would rather add edamame or firm tofu to a soup than have some veggie product made of other stuff I don't need. I'm not vegetarian,…

@jugar Let's use 153. Thanks!

@jugar So, my 1st weigh in for June will be Sunday, and after that on Fridays? This Sunday is May 31st. I just woke up, so I'm probably not understanding.
-
@jugar I'll be starting June at 153. This week has been awful due to lots of sodium. I don't cook with any salt, and I often find cooking by others very salty. 😝 I had some things this week like soy chorizo that have left me craving water. Here's to a better next week. Also, I'm not sure if my Achilles tendon is…

@jugar This week begins my new schedule, so would you please make Friday my weigh in day? This week will assuredly be a gain because I won't have enough time to lose the 5 pounds I gained after my 2 free days. ;)

I posted my weigh in today, but I don't see it now. PW: 148 CW: 147.5

I hope you are all doing well - and yes, even if you are living the frustrations of weight loss, figuring out what is working and what isn't - you'll get there! @RaisedToRamble I have to say, though, that nuts and seeds have no cholesterol and are surely not the first thing that needs to go. They have lots of fibre and are…

Since we pay taxes, I'm all for free books. The library is the way to go - books, movies, music, & even oddities like cake pans, tools, & musical instruments. Physical or digital, it's all free. 😉 Plus, the staff should be knowledgeable, friendly, & go out of their way to serve.

PW: 149 CW: 148 My week: 1 free day. Gain weight. Spend all week losing a few pounds. Pull out a loss at the end. 😒 😂
-
6.6 mile run today. I felt better than last week when I lost my legs on the uphill, but I came in 2 minutes slower. Sometimes that happens. Eating one of my massive salads instead of nachos. Tomorrow is my weight in!
-
Breakfast: During the week, usually eaten at work so I'm not starving too early - usually steel cut oats, raisin bran, or mini-wheats. On the weekends, see my previous post about nachos... ;) Fiber: usually about 40g/day through grains, veg, & flaxseed meal added to soup at lunch. Also, Trader Joe's has a good tasting High…

My scale doesn't lie. I got up to 155 early this week, but I cracked down after reading all your posts. I logged, & I think I stayed under cals all but one day. So down 6 pounds this week. 😲 My work schedule changed, & it will probably change again. I now have a Sat/Sun weekend, so I made the decision to not have nachos…

@Steph1498 I love my Garmin 35. Affordable on Amazon. I only wear it for workouts because I don't want to slam it on anything. I may try to buy another one when Black Friday time comes around.

All gone! 1 lb a day. Thanks for the encouragement!
-
I made it 2 days! I logged my food & was under calories. Too bad I gained 3 lbs beforehand.
-
Watch out guys, I'm posting! I read all the May posts this morning while on the exercise bike, so I didn't go as fast as usual. I had zero idea @Terytha asked us to do good/bad, positive/negative for this month. It just seemed the right thing to do to start off the month. I'm curious @RaisedToRamble, where do you live? The…

Good: My running has gotten a bit faster. I've been doing a 6.6 miles route 5 minutes faster than in mid-March. Bad: The resolve & desperation to lose weight that I had in December is gone, but I'm so thankful that I'm still about 10 lbs down from my starting weight.

PW: 149.5 CW: 151 I know. Wrong direction.

PW: 148.5 CW: 149.5 Ugh. Ate too much the night before weigh in.

On my exercise bike glancing posts from forever ago... *** Thank you everyone for reminding me that this journey is not perfect, but endurance is essential! May you all experience love, joy, comfort, & peace in the midst of this time. *** ❤ I've been essential for all of this, so only weekend down time for me. Today begins…

Oh, yeah, & I've been eating small buckets of chocolate chips at night...
-
Despite running 6.6 miles on Sunday & walking 6 yesterday, I pretty much took out a bag of TJs corn chips over 2 days, & today I'm 154. 😕😔
-
PW: 151 CW: 151 (after running 6.6 miles) 😉 It still happened on my weigh in day, so it counts! I like this 20 lb goal. I'm still struggling with evening snacking.
-
PW: 149 CW: 151 The good news is I had been up to 152. My night time snacking still continues, but I've upped my workout. I added some songs to my bike playlist this week, so I've been doing 15 miles in an hour/day. Today was 25 miles. @matthewsfive intro is so inspirational! Even though I've been up a little during later…

snacking gluttonfest. I like that one - but hope you can make it stop!! Pickles. Grapefruit. Eat something sour sometimes and the desire for something truly destructive fades out. And if you eat a whole jar of pickles, not too much harm is done! Your running is impressive, though - well done![/quote] My husband hates…
