  • I subscribe to Maslow's ideas, so I definitely don't think I need them for any reason at all. My theory is that the new fabric will wick away the sweat faster and ordered a set to test the theory. I had the idea that wearing the compression gear is just plain better, but now I'm re-thinking some of my previous notions and…
  • Well for me, I *think* I'm getting a benefit of stability in range of motion and movement. Theoretically, it's wicking the sweat away faster than not using it, but I can't really prove that. Has anyone compared the solid fabric to the newer fabric with the heat vents or cuts in the fabric?
  • I just bought a scale for the same reason. I think I eat pretty decent and track everything, but I'm lacking precision. The more detail you can track, the better informed your decisions will be for diet and exercise. Oh, and get at least seven hours of sleep every night. ;)
  • Agree with these two. I like supersets in groups of two or three that target the same area. For example hack squat, sissy squat and Bulgarian squat all in a circuit. If you give yourself one minute on each exercise and only rest 30-45 seconds between each circuit, I'm pretty sure your HR will stay in the target range.
  • Right, you got me there. That just came off as stupid, no way around that. What I meant to say was that whey protein doesn't contain all the amino acids that are useful to the body and taking additional amino acids that are not in whey protein are a good idea based on my personal experience.
  • Here is a generic plan I used. Plan to exercise three days a week with at least one day in between for recovery. Week 1 Day 1: Run 1 minute then Walk 60 seconds (10 times) Cool down Day 2: Run 2 minutes and walk 60 seconds (8 times) Cool down Day 3: Warm up to the 1/2 mile marker Run walk to the 1 1/4 mile marker Cool down…
  • I have tried several brands of whey protein and I think it's essential. I don't think it's fair to compare amino acids to whey protein as they work differently. The amino acids work to help the tissue rebuild more efficiently and reduce the negative effects you feel after a strong workout. The whey protein is just a pure…
  • Perhaps you could offer some of your personal experience that might help scollins751? It seems like you have some relevant information that would be helpful.
  • Since I am not 'an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others' I'm not sure what value your response gives this thread. A difference in height of two inches should not reasonably account for 100lbs of body weight for most people. It is critical to…
  • hey good1wah, I can relate on a few of your concerns. I can tell you that you need a personal goal, something you can picture in your mind that is the outcome of all your planned effort. The water is no joke; if you do nothing else and only drink water for 30 days it will change your life. Do you have a budget for…
  • I like this idea, I'm in! I don't think I need to worry about the steps as I hit over 10k per day during the work week. I do skip a few meals here and there, so this will be a good motivation to stay focused.
