Oh! Found it... the Flex is safe to be submerged up to 10 meters (approximately 32 feet) ~ the rest of them say that they aren't safe for swimming and are designed to essentially be sweat/splash proof. Anyway OP, hope this helps!! :)

@StaciMarie1974 ~ oops! I thought it was waterproof.... there was something about it that made it safe for water. Anyway, I plunged it in water, etc. and haven't had a problem. :)

The FitBit Flex is completely waterproof... the rest of them are water resistant. I own several different models and I truly can't say enough good things about the devices/company!! :)
