mine is set up as Afternoon Snack Dinner Snack I for me it was important not to set a calorie amount for any of them. It caused me to eat more to eat that amount of calories even if I wasn't hungry. Or the flip side eat less even though I was starving if I didn't have the calories for it. Some days my afternoon snack is…

I use one that was set up already by someone else. I googled: tdee tracking spreadsheet There's a reddit thread that came up as one of the first options and the post has a few links to google spreadsheets you can download to use. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8EbfzFB0mBrMGJ6V2N5QWNfeTg/view specifically that's the one…

Eventually if the trend is upwards for a couple of weeks mine will stop going down and pick back up. It's just averaging. A lot of time when I was losing weight I would have a week where my weights were up like that and then the next week they would start trending back down towards the line (or below the line) that happy…

typically i pre-log for the week. and then make minor adjustments as I go. Maybe I don't want brussel sprouts tonight and I want corn instead. Or maybe my farm share didn't give me green beans like I thought they would and they gave me something else. If something comes up and suddenly we are going out for a social event.…

I'm 5'5" and also selected the arbitrary goal of 150 when I started(because it's the very top number of the "healthy" BMI). I have settled around 160-ish. I stopped and stayed higher because 1) I'm a comfortable (for me) clothing size. (size 6-8 size M) 2) I'm a healthy body fat %. measured by scans and calipers and…

i would recommend seeing your dr. it could be postural hypotension (I have this) and there are tests that can be done to confirm. There are also options if that's really what's going on. I've always had low BP like 80/50 but when I stand up (not even quickly, just at all) it can drop another 20-30 points. because it could…

I fit them into my day. every day. I also learned to listen to my body. I have low blood pressure even thought I'm on medication for it for example - when I'm experiencing a low I crave salty foods, because that's why my body needs to help me retain more water and elevate my blood pressure. I used to crave chocolate a lot.…

I eat whichever one I like the taste of more... I've always had skin milk for my protein shakes as that's what I enjoy. But to just drink a glass of milk I would not prefer skim. I hate low fat cottage cheese so I get the regular one. I happen to like Dannon light and fit greek yogurt which i think is lower fat. but also…

I eat dinner. Then I eat my pre-planned dessert item for the night. Then I stop eating and don't go back for more. It took a lot to train my brain not to snack post desert but now that I have it's really quite easy. Probably took me a couple of months to get it down. But now post desert I never think about going back for…

I am definitely more fidgety now. When I’m sitting at work I’m bouncing one of my legs. When I’m using my standing desk I’m constantly moving in someway. During meetings I have to consciously be thinking “don’t bounce your leg. Don’t tap your foot. Don’t sway the chair” so as not to be distracting with my fidgeting. I…

Mine was pretty accurate. Maybe a little bit low based on real life data. But I could have underestimated my activity. What I consider moderate might really be active, but for me I think it's a moderate amount. So idk.

I didn't really notice mine until I had lost about 110lbs (281 to 170 ish) I've actually only lost about 5 lbs weight wise from that point but have lost a lot of inches and I do see it getting worse. My arms and inner thighs are the worst right now. My lower stomach is a bit saggy. They say it can take a couple of years…

I'm currently averaging 15k. my goal is 12k a day. I do 7500-8500 at work by walking on my breaks and at lunch, and just incidental up and down to the restroom and to get water and such. I do weight training every other day which is about 1500-2000 steps just moving around to rearrange weight plates and whatever else. Then…

Yes, at least a portion until you know they're accurate. If my normal maintenance calories for my activity level at 2000 and I do 200 calorie workout I will absolutely eat those calories back. That's how MFP is set to work.
-
You can maintain without exercise. I think the choice to exercise is about prioritization. I could easily make the excuse that I'm too busy doing whatever else and don't have time. I made an effort recently to stop saying "I don't have time" and started saying "it's not a priority" and that really changed my mind set,…

Also, OP, keep in mind that while restricting like this is great if it works for you but for some people it just doesn't work. For example if I did what @elisa123gal does and cut all those things out of my diet I would feel overly restricted and would end up bingeing on all of those items. It's great that it works for her…

So, when I go to the movies I accept that it's an estimate. Pick a reasonable sounding calorie amount and log it and forget about it. I do not do cheat days or limit treats. I abide by the "if it fits I can eat it" and even sometimes if it puts me a little over for the day that's fine. I watch my calories by the week so…
-
wouldn't that be from sun up to sun down? not just not eating at all?
-
you would eat at maintance. so set mfp up for maintaining your current weight and eat that for a couple of weeks. Diet breaks typically do help me if I'm stuck the key, for me, is to not use it as an excuse to overeat or eat solely junk foods.
-
It will tell you you didn't eat enough if you are netting under 1000 or 1200 calories. So if I eat 1500 but have 700 calories of exercise and don't eat those back then 1500-700 = 800 it will tell me I haven't had enough to eat because I'm not meeting the minimum required to meet basic nutritional goals. Also, would like to…

Thanks! I am very active, I get too antsy if I sit around. I like data and I have lost over the last almost 3.5 years. (with long stretches of maintenance in there). I track this way because I want to know what my TDEE is and I've noticed MFP is way off for me and I don't plan on regaining the 115+ lbs I've lost. I will…

Have you considered setting up your spreadsheet to average your weight for the week? I use one that looks like this It's set up that at the top I can select if I'm trying to lose or maintain. It takes into account my daily weigh ins, or however often weigh ins and averages them for the week and then further averages them…

you can't really combat it. your skins elasticity is a combination of factors including genetics and age. I wouldn't worry about the loose skin or let it be a deterrent to losing weight. If you have it you have it and if you don't you don't. I've lost 115 and I have some minimal loose skin in some place but no one notices…

In my fridge I have a constant supply of romaine, big fan of giant salads, and eggs. And usually some kind of fresh veggies that are in season, or whatever is on sale. Cottage cheese or yogurt, crescent rolls/french bread Cabinets: canned tuna, rice (I keep jasmine and brown rice on hand, as well as spanish) I also like…

I just ordered some MyProtein Whey as well! Should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm really excited to try it. I normally drink ON Chocolate and love it so I'm a little nervous to try something different.

I'm not in Keto but I do have a friend who does it. She drinks, some liquors are low carb and don't have an influence on her ketosis. She also goes out to eat often. Generally just orders something fried and mostly low carb. From when I previously was in ketosis I did it all by fasting. I was in ketosis and could eat…

I think there is an inherent self love in the concept of healthy weight loss. I loved myself at my highest weight. Loving myself is why I decided to lose the weight and become more healthy. Being healthy or unhealthy before didn't have anything to do with loving myself. I love myself now. I don't look at weight loss as me…

I have tried physical therapy, I have done quite literally anything possible and chiropractic is what works for me. My chiro isn't the crazy type having me go 3 times a week for no good reason. I go once, maybe twice a month, if necessary. $20 a month is not breaking the bank for me by any means. I'm sorry if I accused you…

I order mine from amazon and I've never had an issue with them being melted when I bring them inside. But maybe my mail gets dropped off later in the day and I just don't know it?

Or it could be that not having my vertebrae misaligned influences pressure put on my herniated disks and nerves making it possible for proper nerve functioning and blood flow to my extremities. Like I said I have herniated disks that resulted in nerve damage that’s going to be permenant. Like I stated previously. I am…
