I see one fairly regularly. But I also have back problems that benefit from regular adjustments. I had 4 herniated disks by 19. Have had surgery on 2 of them. And to keep the rest of my back in line I have to go. I do notice when I don’t go for an extended period of time that my first adjustment back does make me quite…

that's what I always thought too.... never considered feeling bad about them tho.... still don't feel bad about them.

Resistance bands. Do squats and lunges at my standing desk. Walk on my breaks.

Technically 15 lbs over "healthy" BMI. So "Overweight" around 25% bf so a little high but I'm good here. I get 12-15k steps a day (walk my breaks during work because I have too much energy) walk my dogs after work, strength train 3-4 times a week, hikes on the weekends. I get to eat enough that I'm happy. As a person that…

I have done it off and on for 9 months. Sometimes I don't want to have to think or am interested in trying what they are doing one week. Any time that I've had problems with rotten produce or meat packaging leaking I have contacted them and they have given me a free box to use. ($50 credit). I also sometimes will just look…

I have a sit stand desk. At first I started getting used to it by standing for 10-15 minutes an hour. Now I stand for about half the day. Sometimes a little more or less depending on meetings. But while it's bad to sit all day. It's also bad to stand all day. So I don't use it all the time. I also use it because I have…

I plan my food and when it's time to eat I go look at what I planned... I think about food a lot but that's because I love food. and I thought about food a lot before I started trying to lose weight... So I don't think it's really any different. Except now I make better choices, mostly.

I just wanted to say. I am the same height as you and weighed the same (280) when I started and was 26 when I started my fitness journey. I wish someone had told me to reign in my expectations. Like you I lost a lot of weight the first week (I now know that’s mostly water) and then got frustrated because I also gained…

When I need protein quickly I go for. Hard boiled eggs tuna (the ones that come in pouches are easy to take to work just need a fork) cottage cheese yogurt protein bars protein shakes chicken (always have some cooked up to throw on salads or a sandwich) pork loin turkey breast string cheese jerky

I struggle with anxiety issues that sometimes send me down this route. Currently am stuck in a "why am I even doing this... it's taking forever...it's annoying..." cycle. I've found that speaking to a therapist about this has greatly helped. These periods of time happen less and less since I've started seeing her. So I…

I personally prefer working out alone. I work harder, but I'm also very self reliant and independent. I hate going to the gym with other people. I want to be off in my own world working, not having to worry about if the person I came with is ready to leave or whatever else. The only things I like doing sometimes with other…

I do something similar. I have a mental list of my nutritional goals. One of them is hitting my protein goal at least 6 out of 7 days. It's definitely easier for me to plan that my meals will incorporate fruit and vegetables then I know they're covered and I count those calories and then if there's room at the end of the…

I like Optimum Nutrition Chocolate. It's always my go to.

Agree. Eat what you like. I guess I use it more as a tool for ideas for meals. Not to eat things other people eat if I don't like them. But sometimes I get stuck in a rut of eating the same meals on repeat and want to diversify for sure.

this. Recipe builder is my friend.

If you'd like to add me you can. My diary is open to friends.

I go max a week. I cook on Sunday and will finish it up by the following Saturday. After that I throw it out. Never have gotten sick from that. Although common sense is required, if it's cooked with something that smells or looks weird I throw it all out.

I weight everyday but I don't bring a scale with me. However, I go to Florida for a month or more every year and stay with a friend. While I'm there I will sometimes (once a week) use her scale just to make sure I'm not getting too high (and by too high I mean like 10+ lbs up) However, I don't record that data. It's more…

I guess I'd say I'm not DEPENDENT on either. I track weight daily in a trending app to see averages over time. I take measurements monthly to track progress over time. However, there are times when I do neither and focus on how my exercise performance/progress is over time. I wouldn't say I'm dependent on any of these…

I stay busy. I don't eat until lunch between 1-2 pm. I get out of work at 5 go home walk my dogs and/or workout, take a shower. By the time I've done all of that and am redressed I'm ready to prepare dinner or heat up leftovers it's usually around 7:30-8 sometimes a bit later. I'm just not all that hungry until then. and…

I wear a Fitbit at it way underestimates my calories out. But I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't tried eating those calories. I think the only way you'll know if it's accurate for you is to try it and see what happens. You have a tool giving you data and you can use that data to see if it correlates to real world…

Can I say both yes and no? I log right now because I like to, some times I don't feel like it so I don't. I plan my meals out but also if the time comes and I don't want that. I get something different. I like the aspects of being pre-planned but also like freedom so I know that I'm free to make a different choice if I…

For one you really do look great. I have the same thing and am just hoping over time it continues to get better. Because like others have said skin takes time. I agree with the higher waisted bottoms, doesn't have to be boy shorts but there are other options. I either wear a higher cut that has ties on the sides so it's…

I'm a long time lurker of this thread and have to say I love it. I've always done diet breaks throughout my weightloss and people always looked at me like I was crazy. Just had to tell you all you helped reaffirm my sanity lol.

Hi everyone, I love threads like this! I started a few (3) years ago at 281. I'm now 170. any one can feel free to add me. I love supporting people that are starting where I started! Good luck everyone!

I kind of wondered the same thing. I'm not trying to be rude. I guess I don't get it. If I'm going to eat a "cheat" meal then I order whatever I want for it.

Interesting now I'm curious about POTS as well. I have borderline low blood pressure and sometimes experience postural related drops but not every time I sit or stand. I increased my sodium and increased my vitamin B at recommendation from my DR and it has helped some but not completely. I was eating around 1500 mg of…

I don't have kids and like others have said I think going to bed tired after an active lifestyle like that is completely normal. I go to bed exhausted and I only have to run around after myself. Instead of the gym every morning could you take walks on your breaks at work? Do a short home video or something a couple days a…

same. If I'm in my house or in my office. I weigh everything exactly. Even prepackaged things like protein bars.

protein bars, chicken, pork, frozen/canned vegetables, rice, potatoes, cottage cheese.
