Swimming is great. I started again after 35 years, but stopped a few weeks ago with temperature drop.

Reporting in with 2 pound loss. I cut back to just jogging, spin class and weights. I will bring back swimming in a couple of weeks. My gigs will start picking up in May, so those will also help increase calorie output. ....love & prayers....harris

on a related note, i don't count all the exercise calories given by either MFP or my gym's equipment. I picked 80% for a number I go by. ..And i don't have to eat all of them especially after a long cycle class. on my first go with MFP, i felt i needed to eat all the "earned exercise calories". if you add calories from exercise the calories will show the new total. for instance 1200 plus 320 from cycling..New total would be 1520.

Mine was a number on the scale. At 5'5" and 190... I lost 40 and was down to 150...This morning I'm up to 165..that's another number that got my attention and back to MFP.

I'm new here, and have been doing spin for about 18 months. The MFP app seems to over estimate calories burned and I have to watch out to not over eat since I started to lap swim (2 months ago) and indoor spin classes. I lost 40 pounds in 3 years but the last 4 months my weigh has crept up 10-12 pounds. Back to basics...
