i have my surgeons consult first week of August. Nervous and excited all in one. Any support anyone can provide is appreciated!! how do I take care of the incision sites?

It's those little moments that get me and point out how much I've really changed my mindset about food. it is no longer an adversarial relationship, rather a "get along" one. Happy for you!

Ended June down 2#. Very stressful month, and I'll take it. hoping July isn't as stressful as June was. Also excited the pool is opened in a town a few towns over, so i can go back to aqua jogging :)

Happy July, and Thank you @RavenStCloud for keeping us all together. The pool in a neighboring town has finally opened up so I can start back at aquajogging! I'm so excited! still a lot of Covid "rules" but it truly is a start. Age - 60 height 5'4" SW 1/1/20 - 315 CW - 273 July goal - 265

ended the month down 2#. I'll take it, what with the stress of this month. Feeling a bit more in control now!

perhaps you need a few more calories. have you checked your base metabolism rate? there are several BMR calculators online for free, it might be worth looking at. Also, maybe check your fiber consumption too, that will help with satiety. I've been there, so I can relate. let us know how we can support you!! hugs

Can you contact some of the folks you worked out with at your old gym and see if they have found a new place? or maybe several of you can get together once a week to lift at someone's house? that may bring back some of the feel good you were receiving at the gym? I agree, a support network, even cheerleaders, make a huge…

how do you manage the hoarding cortisol issue? I think i have some of the same. I have had a difficult time this month, so I'm trying to give myself some grace and maintain. And life gets in the way sometimes, don't beat yourself up too much about what was, just work with what is. <3 I'll send a friend request!!

I don't think that's weird at all. If your work is like mine, we have fire stairs that require doors to access, so you may be surprised to find you aren't the only one!! good luck to you!

I am facing some of the same challenges, seems junk and unhealthy food is EVERYWHERE and I can't avoid it. I know how you feel. I am going to make one change a day for 4 days and see if that helps. Then build on that with another change for 4 days. Keep me posted how you are doing!!

Life can be very difficult at times for the best of us. you have made huge strides in addressing your physical health challenges. I am sending positive vibes you can improve your mental health to a point where interacting with others is not so painful and frightening. Maybe start by looking at your gym for a workout buddy.…

I had my gall bladder out a few years back and high fat foods give me issues, so I'm familiar with that. I do love rice but could deal with only a little, and I love popcorn! My biggest hurdle is sugar. I think I am a sugar junkie, and I KNOW I won't be able to eat high sugar items after. I'm planning on that being the…

@goal06082021 @flossyposse @AlexandraFindsHerself1971 thanks for all the great suggestions. I can keep the ice cream bars in the basement so I get extra steps to go get one too. I'll see if we can buy those items locally. We live in a remote area with limited options so hopefully i can find some! thanks ladies!!

thank you for the detailed explanation. I didn't realize there may be foods I just cannot eat after the surgery, that is good information to have. I have tried everything else and nothing seems to work. I have learned that food has NOTHING to do with hunger for me, so i have had to relearn hunger and satiety cues and have…

Still no scale activity. We've had some very bad personal family news (my SIL) and it's been a tough couple weeks. I am wearing yet another pair of capris from last year I couldn't wear and they are LOOSE. So even though the scale isn't moving my body composition has changed, so I need to do measurements again. I am…
