Seriously!!?? What an awful thing to say. Maybe you dodged a bullet there.

Haven't eliminated anything. Just eating less.

I can't do black coffee. I'll stick to my Douwe Egberts Hazelnut Blend, with milk.

Hi. I'm from Newcastle. I've been on here for just over 160 days. Turned 30 back in March and had an epiphany (well someone at work said I had one) and decided enough was enough. I was 217lbs at my heaviest a few years, and started at 207lbs back in March. I'm now down to 178lbs. Dropped from a 36" waist to 32". Still got…

Totally agree. I have lost 29lbs by cutting my calories down. I have continued to eat what I always have, but less of it.

I LOVE poached eggs. Really addictive. It's the only way I eat eggs. I avoid fried eggs like the plague.

I find it all a bit confusing now. I was using my iPhone originally. Then I changed the option to Under Armour instead. It said I had done more steps than what my iPhone says I've done in the Health App. Am I better to continue using my iPhone to track steps in MFP?
-
Can I not use Under Armour?
-
I have an option for 'Under Armour' which I'm presuming is for MapMyFitness. However, the steps it's saying I've done don't match up with what my iPhone says?
-
I meant I use my iPhone and this is linked to MFP. I also have MMF linked to MFP so it imports any exercise.
-
Exactly!

I just eat what I want. Most of my food has high nutritional values, and I try to eat as much protein as I can. However, I still eat chocolate, cake, crisps etc. I just fit them into my diary.
-
I use MFP to track my steps, but I don't find it too accurate. I use MapMyFitness to record runs/walks and these are added into MFP automatically. Is that OK to do?

Maybe they do have other reasons and it certainly would be a smart choice as to not add more calories onto an already calorific meal. But there are some people who think Diet Coke is the magical drink that will make them lose weight and make everything better. Unless you're drinking it AND lowering your calories, it does…

I'm not saying that anyone on here does this, and I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence. It was not a personal attack. However, there are a large amount of obese people who think that by drinking Diet Coke with any high-calorie meal will somehow make it all better. I've seen it happen and know people who do it. There's…

Drink what you want. My view on diet sodas is that they trick your body into thinking it's getting sugar, and it's not, thus increasing your cravings for sweet things. Go into any fast food outlet or supermarket and you will see overweight people ordering large meals with diet cokes, or have trolleys full of sweets and…

Those were just a few links from Google. I've just read a lot of stuff about Artificial Sweetener. I personally don't drink any 'diet' drinks. If they don't contain sugar to make them taste sweet, then what the hell do they contain? Plus there's evidence to suggest that when you taste the sweet in diet soda, your body…

This has made my day! I hope it's locally sourced

I like Coke Zero, but I loathe Diet Coke. It tastes of nothing and is full of crap (so is Coke Zero mind).

The amount of cheese an American eats in a year!

Same here. I have friends who have £50 p/m gym memberships and never use them. I bought a pair of running shoes.

In relation to the 'You shouldn't be eating those' comment that a manager made, people do this to me all the time. One day I was eating a small bar of chocolate at work, and someone said the exact same thing. I was like I can eat what I want... 'I am NOT dieting'. People don't seem to understand that you can lose weight…

I don't log herbal tea, tea, coffee (made at home). If I go to Starbucks I will log due to the amount of milk (and my free hazelnut syrup shots!)

I weigh myself in exactly the same spot. In fact, it's the exact bathroom tile. Never move it.

M&S sell it.

When someone sees me eating a bar of chocolate, or a donut etc at work, they'll be like 'you shouldn't be eating that. I thought you were wanting to lose weight?' I can eat what I want. I've lost nearly 2st since March and I still eat the same things, just smaller quantities and they are factored into my daily calories.…
-
I eat pretty much the same things, but in smaller quantities. I also add more protein and fruit/veg into my diet.

I've tired Special K in the past, but it's just like eating air. I stick to Bran Flakes with a banana, or poached eggs on toast if I have enough time.
