Green tea has no health benefits.

I've lost nearly 40lbs and sometimes don't think I look any different. I can see it in my face, but the rest of my body feels the same even though I've dropped quite a few sizes. Its a phycological thing, which doesn't help me to maintain weight as I think nothings changed so I go back to my old eating habits. It's…

Of course sugar is bad for you in large amounts! http://www.who.int/elena/titles/ssbs_childhood_obesity/en/
-
Wrong.
-
Eating too much sugar can cause weight gain, which increases your risk of developing T2D.
-
I don't even know where to start with that statement! We have glucose in our cells.
-
What? Are you expecting me to say that this specific 'processed food' will make you fat and sick? Thats not what I meant. The Western diet contains a high amount of heavily Processed Foods, which generally contain high amounts of added sugar/HFCS (like soda), and very little fibre and nutrients. It is a proven fact that…
-
Yes it is. When people say Processed Foods, they generally mean the chemically-processed foods (which have artificial substances added in), that I referred to. That is the general consensus as to what 'Processed Foods' means.
-
It isn't sustainable, and would lead to a myriad of health issues.
-
I know that processed foods is a broad term, as most foods are processed in some way, but I was referring to foods that have been chemically processed and made solely from refined ingredients and artificial substances, like preservatives, colourants, flavourings . This is what is generally considered as 'Processed Foods'.

That's how people tend to approach the subject with me. I still get told I don't need to lose anymore weight, but I know I do. I even stared telling people I've stopped losing weight just so they couldn't comment. Silly I know.
-
Exactly. We don't. Carbs are broken down in to sugar (glucose), but we have no need to include added sugar in our diets.

Try and avoid low-fat foods (or at least read the labels), especially low-dat dairy, as it can contain far more sugar than the full-fat equivalent. I use full fat greek yoghurt and whole/full fat milk, and it keeps me fuller for longer. Don't worry about the sugar in whole fruits.

Processed foods, as in chemically processed and made from refined ingredients, are bad and do make you fat and sick. It's not hard to find the evidence... Just take a look at the amount of obese people in the western world, and the western diet! Processed foods are usually high in sugar/HFCS, contain all sorts of…

Good for you on giving up on these high sugar beverages. I try to avoid sugary drinks whenever I can, even the zero-sugar versions (because of the artificial sweeteners). Sugar is definitely the biggest reason to give these drinks up.

I don't think it's compatible.

I got down to my lowest weight before Christmas, and only gained 2 lbs. Quite impressed!

I weigh myself daily and put it into the Happy Scales app on my iPhone. It shows me my moving average and if i'm actually losing. I find it helps me.

I started running at the the start of my weight loss, but my knees were hurting after a few months, so I changed to walking. I used to do a 6 mile walk along the coast in the summer months. Haven't been for a while but will definitely be going back. I miss walking along the beach. I usually walk to the supermarket, which…

My face, legs and waist. My stomach and chest are still shrinking, but not at the rate I want! :)

I set MFP activity level to sedentary, and then log my steps. If I do any meaningful exercise (jog, run, power walk etc) I will log it in MapMyFitness and it auto syncs it into MFP.

In the morning after visiting the toilet, and before breakfast.

I still don't see it. I've lost 33lbs and gone from an XL to a Medium, and 36" waist to a 32". I can tell in the clothes I buy, but when I look in the mirror I still think i'm overweight. I've also had an issue with my torso (stomach and chest), and until that is gone (or more flat), then I won't be happy with how I look.

I believe it's Waitrose. A supermarket in the UK.
-
Mmmmm.... They look nice. Might pick one up next time I get my free coffee! ;)
-
They are relatively new to the UK market and are popping up all over the place. You can pretty much pick up a Krispy Kreme from most large petrol stations, motorway services, Supermarkets. They even have quite a few stores around me that are always busy. I like to have one as a treat with a coffee.

This made me laugh until my stomach hurt!!
