I thought it was, but apparently I'm perfectly capable of making bad food decisions without having consumed alcohol. Like, last night I mixed an entire 8 oz package of lowfat cream cheese with a crapload of sugar and ate the whole thing. I guess cutting back has helped in that I didn't have to account for additional…

A woman at my gym recently told me she was excited for her trip to Canada because it's the only way she can still get Dunkaroos. So, yes, in Canada?

Hmmm... Doritos crumbled into my kraft mac & cheese (I still do this once every few years) Peanut butter, marshmallow fluff & jelly sandwiches for lunch Salisbury steak frozen dinners (the *thought* of the smell of these now makes me feel a little ill) We ate a lot of canned vegetables. I don't like them now. Grape jelly…

Weekdays: 600 breakfast 600 lunch 600-1000 dinner 0 snacks On weekends, I'm all over the place on number of meals and calories in each based on schedule and activity.

My period got lighter and my cramps are less severe after losing weight. Win!

I run and walk outside in pretty much all conditions, and go to a fairly pricey gym that is "On a mission to help women do amazing things." I decided to spend this money because buying cheap memberships to gyms was not resulting in my actually going, nor in my being productive when I did go. It wasn't until I started…

Running races has completely ruined running alone to the point where I've barely trained for my next half marathon. It's gonna be interesting. I love running with other people around, but not necessarily WITH people all of the time. Races allow me to be as friendly or solitary as I choose.

I had some disappointing news today, which immediately made me want ice cream to feel better. I walked into the ice cream shop, stared at the flavor board for a minute, and left. Then, I stopped in the coffee shop next door, stared at the cookies, turned around and left. I did not buy anything and I did not eat anything…

Pumpkin cranberry.

Running an 8k race.

I pushed my dinnertime up from 5:30 to 7:30/8pm so that I don't have as much time to put food in my face between dinner and bedtime.

I gained nearly 5lbs of fat on my last vacation (cruise & a few days in San Diego). It was worth every cocktail and sticky bun. That was 2 months ago and it's nearly gone.

Well done!

Broccoli mac & cheese and some chicken breast to mix in.

This was the only episode I've seen, which I found to be so bad I've decided not to watch any more of this series. That expert talking about this was Traci Mann: http://www.secretsfromtheeatinglab.com/

Running goal: 10k race in under 1 hour. 57:22 this morning!

I usually aim for beers with a lower abv, anything around 5% and under. I was drinking a lot of session IPA, Gose and Berliner Weisse during the spring/summer last year. I don't avoid higher alcohol beers, but I do drink fewer of them than I used to.

November 2015, 220ish lbs, about 1 month into weightloss. And this is from this morning, crushing my 5k PR yet again: 157lbs Still slowly crawling along with the weightloss at a rate of 1-2lbs a month with a 5lb regain last month when I went on a cruise and ate and drank All The Things. I regret nothing.

I'd be more concerned about the entries marked "generic" or "homemade." Are those entries you created yourself? If not, you have no way of knowing what went into those recipes and it will not be the same as what you are eating. If you are making the food yourself, create your own recipes with the ingredients in the amounts…

I remember reading at some point that was your goal. Congratulations! That's awesome!

New half marathon PR! 2:24:04, over 11 minutes faster than my previous best.

In my experience, "competitive" in this context tends to mean a timed race with results versus an untimed walk or fun run. Most 5ks have walkers or slower joggers even when there's a walk offered. One thing I used to do when I was nervous about my speed compared with other participants is look at past results for that…

black coffee, 2 fried eggs, 2 slices of light toast and chicken sausage almost every day. Bagel with cream cheese on mornings I do a long run.

I appreciate the people offering help on these forums, whether they are well muscled young guys or middle aged women. It was a great relief to learn I didn't have to follow any particular diet while losing weight. I've learned a lot about food, energy balance and science. I'm so happy diet coke won't kill me and that I…

I'm feeling lazy so probably chicken breast and a bag of steamed brussels sprouts, both with a generous helping of cheese sprinkled over them.

I use Swiss Miss, too, but the no sugar added version. I find the regular Swiss Miss too sweet and I found the light ones didn't mix as well as the others. 60 calories per 16 gram serving.
