My confession: Sometimes. Late at night. When I am all alone. I pour ketchup on the floor and roll around in it naked screaming, "I'M A FRENCH FRY! I'M A FRENCH FRY!".....you guys do that too, right? :-\

I will enjoy the responses on this as well.....would love new ideas for lower carb but maybe higher protein veggie dishes!
-
Ha! Love getting right to the point brother!

Thank you!!!!!

Being a vegan myself, I will always tell you that taking animal products out of your system will make you more healthy, others will disagree. But it is not a "diet" it is a lifestyle that you embrace for health or morale/ethical reasons. If you feel you would like to try it, do it! But do not let anyone tell you that you…

Good question. My mom has celiacs and she HAS to be gluten free....but if you are not, you do not HAVE to go gluten free unless you want to do so
-
Good for you! Take control of your life. I have a lot of friends that have corrected diabetes effects and no longer need medication from diet control and healthy eating!

Thanks...it's now Calories Burned From Normal Daily Activity 2,030 cal/day with my correct OLD age!
-
Thanks everyone. I made my age correct (even though I hate it!) and that has given me more calories a day...however it is still 500 lower than some sites I have checked (PiYO diet for one)
-
Calories Burned From Normal Daily Activity 1,730 cal/day

I changed my settings and it says 1230 cals on MFP SORRY....I was putting in 5.7 for inches instead of 67 (doh) Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - 1690 Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) - 2029 Daily calories based on goal in step 6 - 1623
-
I put it in 1lb a week....seems to keep changing
-
I used lbs and inches Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - 912 Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) - 1094 Daily calories based on goal in step 6 - 875
-
When I did my correct age it came up as 1200 a day. How can I hide my age? I could not find that setting
-
It set me at 875 cals a day...that can't be right can it?
-
I don't really want to do anything extreme at all. I just want to do the RIGHT thing for my body....to be healthy and fit
-
Cool. Does it look ok to you? More healthy?
-
sorry I was trying to delete this post since I linked the chart above

Really? It looked pretty extensive to me. You get like 6 primary veggies, 2 secondary veggies, 4 healthy fats, 3 fruits and 6 proteins every day with a list of "free" foods that have no limits. And beans are on the secondary veggies list weightomaintain.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/PiYo-Food-Printables-2.pdf

That is the correct one. I am planning to do it Vegan style with substitutes, if possible. My wife REALLY wants me to do this plan and not the carb/gluten thing I was looking at earlier. I was not planning to do Shakeology...hoping smoothies at home might work with the right ingredients.
-
Anyone look at the Chalene PiYO food program? That one looks better and gives you so many of each food type per day getting more balance. Thoughts on that plan?
-
THANKS!!!!

THANKS so much everyone for the help. A LOT to read through here. Maybe I need some re-thinking in some areas...but not the vegan thing! ;-)

I have been reading Grain Brain and I was planning to be as wheat free as possible but still be healthy. That is why I was asking. And I have been told that sugar and carbs are the reason that I have not lost weight in years. I just thought I would get more opinions on the subject. Thanks!

I travel a lot and sometimes, I have the choice of no food or having something available. I do the best I can to commit every day to not using or eating any animal products. But, like everyone else, I am human. Sometimes I fail. But I am honest about it and I do not pretend to be something I am not.
