I'm the wrong kind of nerd. There's no subculture for low-brow omnivores.

You beat the game, you saved the princess. Now it's time to do something else harder.

I'm only looking for crass people who post crass things. bonus for crass ladies who post cleavage shots.

It's not truly calories in calories out. People's metabolisms differ. Processed foods are easier to chew digest, so you get more calories out of them. There are all sorts of other variables such as time of day, sleep patterns, etc. You may require more of a calorie deficit than someone else of the same sex, height and…

Other than a lock on the fridge? Here is what you need to cook everything: An 8" chef's knife (Victorinox is cheap and good), a cutting board, measuring cups and spoons, a spatula, a large cooking spoon, a whisk, a good oven-safe 6qt Dutch Oven (cast iron enamel by Lodge is a good value), a shallow frying pan and maybe a…

I have gotten the Mission high protein ones and they're pretty good. They hold together.

Strippers make people happy. That's more than I can say for most people. I say they are unsung heroes.

I'm still not clear on when explaining becomes mansplaining. Does it have to be sexist, or can it just be insensitive in a general way? Can I mansplain to another man, or only to a woman? As far as I can tell, mansplaining just means thinking you're right.

Unfortunately, any formula is just a guess. Some people have much higher or lower BMRs depending on the amount of muscle, their gut flora, the number of dormant fat cells in their body and a host of other things. In the end, your BMR is whatever you can cut 500 calories from and lose weight.

I like to have a nice tumbler of whiskey, gin or aged tequila on the weekends. Also on the weekdays.

There is nothing I refuse to eat, but I generally avoid tripe.

First of all, given your father's problems, you were almost certainly raised with unhealthy attitudes about food. To a large extent, it's not your fault. And even if it was, all that maters is what you do tomorrow. Let your son see you learn new habits and take care of yourself. Every day you do that will matter.

Looking back, I was depressed for many years before seeking treatment, because it manifested more as anger and fear. It was only after I learned to control those that it took on the classic symptoms of losing interest in things once enjoyed and general unrelenting sadness. I know some people get a lot of relief from talk…

There's nothing you can make overnight in a slow cooker than you can't make in minutes with a pressure cooker.

Japanese rice seasoning. Bonito, seaweed, sesame, etc. MMMM

I dunno, I think maybe you should just ask again at 200.

I like my food like I like my women... dirty.

Dry beans, smaller amounts of cheap meat. Chili, Hoppin' John, and Red Beans and Rice are three of my favorites and can be made in large quantities and frozen.

Gorge yourself on piles and piles of vegetables. Eat soup and salad before meals.

Candy. Bags and bags of candy. Individually wrapped, so I can have just a nip. What can I say? I works for me.

Liver and mollusks. Probably not together. Leaving aside the issue of sodium, liverwurst is fairly palatable to most people. I love spaghetti and clams, myself. Some people love canned smoked oysters. I've never tried them. Also, try cooking with a cast iron skillet.

My money is on tapeworms. One pill to give you a tapeworm, one to kill it.

Every time I get sick, I'm never able to recall some obvious time of exposure. Also, I have exercise-induced coughing fits myself and I'm not actually sick, so there's that. I'd say don't worry about it, but if you decide to tell people to wear masks or something, I'd love to hear the responses you get.

Sometimes I just toss half a head of chopped iceberg lettuce with some low fat ranch dressing and real bacon bits. It's very satisfying.

Yes and no. You will lose weight eating junk within your deficit, but it's a lot harder. Junk food is more calorie-dense, so it's easier to overindulge. It also doesn't fill you up as well as vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. That said, no having rules makes the deficit a lot easier to stick to.

Nothing you can do but eat less. I mean, maybe eat more fiber and vegetables to stay full.

Love dem. I buy them in a box of 10 for $12 at the supermarket and leave them in the chest freezer. 3 minutes in the microwave, 300 calories.

Lean protein at the end of the day is not a bad idea. Go natural with jerky or meat.
